اجتاحت حرائق غابات عنيفة ولاية نيو ساوث ويلز الأسترالية اليوم (السبت)، حيث التهمت النيران آلاف الهكتارات من الأحراش، مما دفع السلطات إلى إصدار أعلى مستويات التحذير من الكوارث ومطالبة آلاف السكان بإخلاء منازلهم فوراً في الولاية الأكثر سكاناً في البلاد.
تحذيرات من حرائق الغابات في أستراليا
وركّز التحذير الطارئ بشكل خاص على منطقتي «فيغانز باي» و«ووي ووي» في الساحل المركزي للولاية، وهي منطقة يقطنها أكثر من 350 ألف نسمة، وتبعد نحو 45 كيلومتراً (30 ميلاً) شمالي مدينة سيدني، عاصمة الولاية وأكبر مدن أستراليا.
تدمير 16 منزلاً وأفادت هيئة الإذاعة الأسترالية بأن ما يصل إلى 16 منزلاً دُمرت بالكامل جراء الحرائق التي انتشرت في المنطقة، فيما نشرت دائرة مكافحة الحرائق الريفية في الولاية تحذيراً عاجلاً على موقعها الإلكتروني جاء فيه: «غادروا الآن إذا كان الطريق مفتوحاً باتجاه ووي ووي».
وساهمت موجة الحر الشديدة التي ضربت الولاية اليوم (السبت)، ووصلت فيها درجات الحرارة إلى 42 درجة مئوية (108 فهرنهايت)، في تفاقم مخاطر اندلاع الحرائق وسرعة انتشارها، وفقاً لمكتب الأرصاد الجوية الأسترالي.
رسالة رئيس الوزراء الأسترالي للمواطنين
ودعا رئيس الوزراء الأسترالي أنتوني ألبانيزي المواطنين قائلاً في بيان رسمي: «اعتنوا ببعضكم بعضاً واتبعوا تعليمات السلطات بدقة».
وكانت أكثر من 50 بؤرة حريق لا تزال مشتعلة عبر أنحاء الولاية، من بينها حريق ضخم في منطقة «أبر هنتر» شمال الولاية، صنّف هو الآخر في أعلى درجات الخطورة الطارئة، وقد التهم حتى الآن نحو 10 آلاف هكتار (25 ألف فدان).
الصيف الأخطر منذ سنوات
وحذّرت السلطات الأسترالية من أن صيف هذا العام قد يكون الأخطر منذ سنوات على صعيد حرائق الغابات، بعد عدة مواسم هادئة نسبياً.
ولا يزال الأستراليون يتذكرون كابوس «الصيف الأسود» في 2019/2020، الذي دمّر مساحة تعادل مساحة تركيا بالكامل، وأودى بحياة 33 شخصاً، وأتى على مليارات الحيوانات والنباتات.

Destruction of 16 Homes The Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported that up to 16 homes were completely destroyed due to the fires that spread in the area, while the state's Rural Fire Service issued an urgent warning on its website stating: "Leave now if the road is open towards Woi Woi."
The severe heatwave that hit the state today (Saturday), with temperatures reaching 42 degrees Celsius (108 degrees Fahrenheit), contributed to the increased risk of fire outbreaks and their rapid spread, according to the Australian Bureau of Meteorology.
Australian Prime Minister's Message to Citizens
Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese urged citizens in an official statement: "Take care of each other and follow the authorities' instructions closely."
More than 50 fire hotspots were still burning across the state, including a massive fire in the "Upper Hunter" region in the north of the state, which is also classified at the highest level of emergency risk, having consumed about 10,000 hectares (25,000 acres) so far.

Australian authorities warned that this year's summer could be the most dangerous in years regarding bushfires, following several relatively quiet seasons.
