ضرب زلزال بقوة 5.2 درجة على مقياس ريختر، منطقة «هالماهيرا» التابعة لمقاطعة «مالوكو الشمالية» شرق إندونيسيا.
وذكر بيان لوكالة الأرصاد الجوية وعلم المناخ والجيوفيزياء بإندونيسيا، أن الزلزال وقع على عمق 10 كيلومترات، ولم ترد حتى الآن أي تقارير عن وقوع خسائر مادية أو بشرية جراء الزلزال.
وتضرب الزلازل بانتظام أجزاء مختلفة من إندونيسيا، إذ تقع على حزام المحيط الهادئ المعروف باسم «حلقة النار»، وتلتقي العديد من الصفائح التكتونية وتسبب نشاطاً بركانياً وزلزاليّاً متكرراً.
A 5.2 magnitude earthquake struck the "Halmahera" region of North Maluku province in eastern Indonesia.
An announcement from the Indonesian Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency stated that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers, and there have been no reports so far of material or human losses due to the earthquake.
Earthquakes regularly hit various parts of Indonesia, as it is located on the Pacific Ring of Fire, where many tectonic plates meet, causing recurrent volcanic and seismic activity.
