جرى المشهد خلال لقاء جمع الشرع وعقيلته بعدد من الأطفال في دمشق بمناسبة اليوم العالمي للطفل، إذ استمع الرئيس إلى طموحاتهم ورؤاهم المستقبلية، قبل أن يتوقف عند طفل لافت تبين لاحقاً أنه نجل القيادي الراحل أسامة نمورة المعروف بـ «أبوعمر سراقب»، أحد أبرز قادة المعارضة المسلحة سابقاً في شمال سورية.
الفيديو انتشر كالنار في الهشيم، محققاً نسب مشاهدة قياسية خلال ساعات، خصوصاً بعد تداول اللقطات التي يظهر فيها الطفل جالساً في مقعد أحد الوزراء، ضمن فعالية هدفت لمنح الأطفال مساحة للتعبير عن أحلامهم وكأنهم في مواقع المسؤولية فعلاً.
وخلال الفعالية، أكد الرئيس الشرع حرص الدولة على «تعويض ما عاناه أطفال سورية» طوال سنوات الحرب، مشدداً على التزام الحكومة بتوفير بيئة آمنة تضمن لهم التعليم والفرص المتكافئة، وفق ما أوردته وكالة «سانا».
أما والد الطفل، أبوعمر سراقب، فقد كان أحد أبرز قادة جيش الفتح والعقل المدبّر لعمليات واسعة ضد قوات النظام قبل أن يُقتل في غارة جوية بمحافظة حلب، ما أضفى على المشهد بعداً إضافياً زاد من تفاعل الجمهور مع الفيديو.

The scene took place during a meeting where al-Shara' and his wife interacted with several children in Damascus on the occasion of World Children's Day, as the president listened to their ambitions and future visions, before stopping at a notable child who later turned out to be the son of the late leader Osama Namoura, known as "Abu Omar Sarqeb," one of the most prominent leaders of the armed opposition in northern Syria.
The video spread like wildfire, achieving record viewership within hours, especially after clips circulated showing the child sitting in the seat of one of the ministers during an event aimed at giving children a space to express their dreams as if they were truly in positions of responsibility.

As for the child's father, Abu Omar Sarqeb, he was one of the most prominent leaders of the Army of Conquest and the mastermind behind extensive operations against regime forces before being killed in an airstrike in Aleppo province, adding an additional dimension to the scene that increased public engagement with the video.
