فاز أحد اللاعبين في ولاية جورجيا الأمريكية بالجائزة الكبرى للعبة «ميغا مليونز»، بعد أن طابقت بطاقته الأرقام الفائزة في سحب يوم الجمعة، ليحصد مبلغاً ضخماً يصل إلى 980 مليون دولار، في واحدة من أعلى الجوائز خلال العام.
ويُتاح للفائز الاختيار بين استلام المبلغ كاملاً دفعة واحدة، أو الحصول عليه على شكل معاش سنوي يمتد لسنوات طويلة. وفي حال وجود فائز آخر في السحب نفسه، يتم تقسيم الجائزة بالتساوي بينهما.
وذكر مسؤولون في اللعبة أن 4 جوائز كبرى ضمن «ميغا مليونز» تم الفوز بها خلال العام، بينما كان آخر سحب ناجح في الـ27 من يونيو، وهو ما يجعل الفوز الحالي رقماً لافتاً في تاريخ اللعبة.
ويُعد مبلغ 980 مليون دولار من أكبر الجوائز المسجلة منذ انطلاق اللعبة قبل 29 عاماً، بينما لا تزال الجائزة القياسية - وقدرها 810 ملايين دولار - مسجّلة لسحب بيع في محطة وقود بولاية تكساس في العاشر من سبتمبر 2024.
ومن المقرر إجراء السحب التالي يوم الثلاثاء القادم، مع توقعات بزيادة مشاركة اللاعبين بعد الجائزة الأخيرة.

The amount of $980 million is one of the largest recorded jackpots since the game started 29 years ago, while the record prize - amounting to $810 million - remains registered for a draw sold at a gas station in Texas on September 10, 2024.
The next draw is scheduled for next Tuesday, with expectations of increased player participation following the recent jackpot.
