في واقعة غريبة أثارت الدهشة، ضلّ مواطن فرنسي يبلغ من العمر 85 عاماً طريقه أثناء قيادته سيارته متوجهاً إلى عيادة طبيبه، ليجد نفسه بعد رحلة طويلة على بُعد نحو 1500 كيلومتر في دولة أخرى تماماً.
وغادر الرجل مسقط رأسه في بلدة شاتيون سور ثويت غربي فرنسا متوجهاً إلى بلدة إيرفو المجاورة التي لا تبعد سوى 20 كيلومتراً عن منزله، لكنه لم يصل إلى الموعد الطبي المحدد.
ولم تبدأ مخاوف العائلة إلا عندما لاحظوا غيابه عن اجتماع الجمعية التي ينتمي إليها، فبادروا إلى إبلاغ الشرطة عن اختفائه.
وبمساعدة الجيش في تتبع موقع هاتفه المحمول، تبين أن الرجل موجود في أحد فنادق كرواتيا على بعد 1500 كيلومتر من فرنسا. وقد استغرقت رحلته غير المقصودة 20 ساعة قطع خلالها الطريق عبر إيطاليا.
وأوضح الرجل المسن عند استجوابه أن ما حدث كان نتيجة خطأ في نظام الملاحة GPS، معرباً عن حيرته من كيفية انتهائه إلى هذا البعد.
ورغم تقدمه في السن، لم يكن الرجل يعاني من أي مشكلات في الذاكرة أو القدرة على تحديد الاتجاهات. وقد سارعت عائلته للسفر إلى كرواتيا لمرافقته في العودة إلى domu، حيث أصبحت لديه الآن قصة استثنائية ليحكيها للأهل والأصدقاء.

The family's concerns only began when they noticed his absence from the association meeting he belonged to, prompting them to report his disappearance to the police.
With the army's assistance in tracking his mobile phone's location, it was revealed that the man was at a hotel in Croatia, 1500 kilometers away from France. His unintended journey took 20 hours, during which he traveled through Italy.
The elderly man explained during questioning that what happened was the result of an error in the GPS navigation system, expressing his confusion about how he ended up so far away.
Despite his advanced age, the man did not suffer from any memory issues or problems with determining directions. His family quickly traveled to Croatia to accompany him back home, where he now has an extraordinary story to tell his family and friends.
