شهدت رحلة جوية تابعة لشركة «جيت بلو» حادثة طارئة بعدما انخفض ارتفاع الطائرة بشكل مفاجئ خلال رحلتها القادمة من المكسيك إلى نيويورك، ما أجبر الطاقم على تنفيذ هبوط اضطراري في ولاية فلوريدا، بحسب ما أكّدته سلطات الطيران الأمريكية.
وأوضحت إدارة الطيران الفيدرالية أن الطائرة من طراز إيرباص A320، كانت متجهة من مدينة كانكون إلى مطار نيوآرك الدولي عندما واجهت اضطرابًا مفاجئًا في الارتفاع، مما تسبب في إصابة عدد من الركاب ونقلهم إلى المستشفى فور الهبوط.
وأضافت السلطات أن الهبوط جرى في مطار تامبا الدولي نحو الساعة الثانية بعد ظهر أمس (الخميس)، مشيرةً إلى أن التحقيق لا يزال جاريًا لتحديد سبب الخلل المفاجئ في نظام الطائرة.
ولم تعلن الإدارة حتى الآن عدد المصابين أو مدى خطورة إصاباتهم، فيما تواصل فرق السلامة الجوية مراجعة تسجيلات الرحلة لمعرفة تفاصيل الحادثة.
A flight operated by JetBlue experienced an emergency incident after the aircraft suddenly lost altitude during its journey from Mexico to New York, forcing the crew to make an emergency landing in Florida, according to the U.S. aviation authorities.
The Federal Aviation Administration explained that the Airbus A320 was en route from Cancun to Newark Liberty International Airport when it encountered a sudden altitude disturbance, resulting in injuries to several passengers who were taken to the hospital immediately after landing.
The authorities added that the landing occurred at Tampa International Airport around 2 PM yesterday (Thursday), noting that an investigation is still underway to determine the cause of the sudden malfunction in the aircraft's system.
The administration has not yet announced the number of injured or the severity of their injuries, while air safety teams continue to review the flight recordings to gather details about the incident.
