في مشهد أقرب إلى أفلام الغموض والرعب، كشفت وزارة الداخلية العراقية، أمس (الثلاثاء)، عن تفكيك شبكة تُعرف باسم «عبدة الشيطان»، تورط أفرادها في عمليات ابتزاز مروعة وإيذاء للضحايا، في وقتٍ أعلنت نجاحها في إسقاط 22 شبكة دولية لتهريب المهاجرين خلال العام الحالي.
وأوضح المتحدث باسم وزارة الداخلية عباس البهادلي خلال مؤتمر صحفي، أنّ جهود مكافحة جريمة الاستغلال الجنسي أسفرت عن تفكيك 96 شبكة تورطت في هذا النوع من الجرائم، إضافة إلى تسجيل 99 ضحية، فيما صدرت أحكام بحق 276 متهماً حتى الآن.
وفي ما يتعلق بتهريب المهاجرين والعمالة الأجنبية، أشار البهادلي إلى أنّ الأجهزة المختصة فككت 22 شبكة تجارة دولية خلال العام الجاري، تسببت في سقوط 91 ضحية، بينما وصلت أحكام الإدانة إلى 13 شخصاً.
كما كشف عن جهود الوزارة لمواجهة جرائم بيع الأطفال، إذ جرى تفكيك 17 شبكة متورطة في هذه الجريمة، وبلغ عدد الضحايا 26 طفلاً، إلى جانب صدور أحكام على 24 متهماً.
وفي سياق متصل، أعلنت الوزارة تفكيك 16 شبكة للتسول تضم 39 ضحية، صدرت بحق 37 شخصاً منهم أحكام قضائية، كما أشار المتحدث إلى تفكيك شبكات متورطة في نزع الأعضاء البشرية، مع تسجيل 10 ضحايا، وإصدار أحكام على 24 متهماً.
In a scene reminiscent of mystery and horror films, the Iraqi Ministry of Interior revealed yesterday (Tuesday) the dismantling of a network known as "Satan Worshippers," whose members were involved in horrific extortion operations and harm to victims, while announcing its success in dismantling 22 international smuggling networks for migrants during the current year.
Spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, Abbas Al-Bahadli, explained during a press conference that efforts to combat sexual exploitation crimes resulted in the dismantling of 96 networks involved in this type of crime, in addition to recording 99 victims, while sentences have been issued against 276 defendants so far.
Regarding migrant smuggling and foreign labor, Al-Bahadli pointed out that the relevant authorities dismantled 22 international trafficking networks during the current year, which led to 91 victims, while convictions reached 13 individuals.
He also revealed the ministry's efforts to combat child trafficking crimes, as 17 networks involved in this crime were dismantled, with the number of victims reaching 26 children, alongside sentences issued against 24 defendants.
In a related context, the ministry announced the dismantling of 16 networks for begging, which included 39 victims, with judicial sentences issued against 37 of them. The spokesman also mentioned the dismantling of networks involved in human organ trafficking, with 10 victims recorded, and sentences issued against 24 defendants.
