أطلق إيلون ماسك، الملياردير مؤسس «سبيس إكس» و«تيسلا»، هجوماً لاذعاً على الوزير المؤقت لإدارة «ناسا» شون دافي الذي يشغل أيضاً منصب وزير النقل، معتبراً إياه «غير ذكي بما يكفي» لقيادة الوكالة الفضائية الأمريكية.
جاء الهجوم عبر منشورات ماسك على منصة «إكس»، حيث وصفه بـ«شون الغبي» (Sean Dummy)، واتهمه بمحاولة «قتل ناسا»، وسط صراع داخلي متصاعد بين صفوف مؤيدي الرئيس دونالد ترمب حول من يتولى قيادة الوكالة.
تغريدات ماسك اللاذعة
وفي منشور له الثلاثاء، رد ماسك على تغريدة تدعو إلى تعيين «شخص آخر غير دافي» لقيادة «ناسا»، قائلاً: «الشخص المسؤول عن برنامج الفضاء الأمريكي لا يمكن أن يكون لديه معدل ذكاء من خانتين فقط»، في إشارة ساخرة إلى دافي.
وأضاف في منشور آخر: «شون الغبي يحاول قتل ناسا!»، مشيراً إلى أن دافي يسعى لدمج الوكالة تحت مظلة وزارة النقل، وهو ما يراه ماسك تهديداً لوجودها المستقل.
ووفقاً لتقرير نشرته صحيفة «وول ستريت جورنال» يدور صراع داخل صفوف حركة «ماغا» (Make America Great Again) حول ترشيح المدير الدائم لـ«ناسا»، حيث يصر دافي – الذي يشغل المنصب المؤقت – على الاحتفاظ به، ويقترح دمج الوكالة مع وزارة النقل ليتمكن من الإشراف عليها دون تولي القيادة المباشرة.
وأكدت مصادر مطلعة للصحيفة أن دافي يلتقي أعضاء مجلس الشيوخ للترويج لهذه الفكرة، معتبراً إياها «فوزاً مزدوجاً» يتيح له الاستحواذ على إنجازات «ناسا» دون مسؤوليتها الكاملة.
ترشيح جاريد إيزاكمان وانسحاب ترمب
يأتي هجوم ماسك في سياق معركة شخصية مع دافي، حيث يدعم ماسك صديقه جاريد إيزاكمان، رجل الأعمال التقني الذي قاد أول مهمة فضائية مدنية لـ«سبيس إكس»، لتولي المنصب. تم ترشيح إيزاكمان لقيادة «ناسا» في ديسمبر 2024، لكن الإدارة سحبت الترشيح في مايو 2025 بعد خلاف علني بين ترمب وماسك حول ملفات جيفري إبستاين، إضافة إلى تبرعات إيزاكمان السابقة لسياسيين ديموقراطيين.
الآن، يسعى إيزاكمان للعودة إلى دائرة نفوذ ترمب، وقد وظف لوبيين ومؤثرين على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي لدعمه، وفقاً لـ«وول ستريت جورنال».
ونفى إيزاكمان توظيف «لوبيين مدفوعي الأجر أو دعاة»، لكنه عقد اجتماعات مع فريقه نهاية الأسبوع الماضي لتقييم فرص إعادة ترشيحه.

Elon Musk, the billionaire founder of "SpaceX" and "Tesla," launched a scathing attack on acting NASA administrator Sean Duffy, who also serves as Secretary of Transportation, considering him "not smart enough" to lead the American space agency.
The attack came through Musk's posts on the platform "X," where he referred to him as "Sean Dummy" and accused him of trying to "kill NASA," amid a growing internal struggle among supporters of President Donald Trump over who should lead the agency.
Musk's Scathing Tweets
In a post on Tuesday, Musk responded to a tweet calling for "someone other than Duffy" to lead NASA, saying, "The person responsible for the American space program cannot have a two-digit IQ," in a sarcastic reference to Duffy.
He added in another post: "Sean Dummy is trying to kill NASA!" indicating that Duffy is seeking to merge the agency under the Department of Transportation, which Musk sees as a threat to its independent existence.
According to a report published by the Wall Street Journal, there is a struggle within the ranks of the MAGA (Make America Great Again) movement regarding the nomination of a permanent NASA administrator, as Duffy – who holds the acting position – insists on retaining it and proposes merging the agency with the Department of Transportation to oversee it without taking direct leadership.
Informed sources told the newspaper that Duffy is meeting with senators to promote this idea, considering it a "double win" that allows him to take credit for NASA's achievements without full responsibility.
Jared Isaacman’s Nomination and Trump’s Withdrawal
Musk's attack comes in the context of a personal battle with Duffy, as Musk supports his friend Jared Isaacman, the tech entrepreneur who led the first civilian space mission for "SpaceX," to take the position. Isaacman was nominated to lead NASA in December 2024, but the administration withdrew the nomination in May 2025 after a public dispute between Trump and Musk over Jeffrey Epstein's files, in addition to Isaacman's previous donations to Democratic politicians.
Now, Isaacman is seeking to return to Trump's sphere of influence and has hired lobbyists and social media influencers to support him, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Isaacman denied hiring "paid lobbyists or advocates," but he held meetings with his team last weekend to assess the chances of his renomination.
The direct conversations between Isaacman and Duffy have been described as "sometimes heated," with expectations from Isaacman's allies that a final decision may be made this week.
Right-wing influencer Laura Loomer supported Isaacman's campaign, tweeting on Tuesday: "Jared Isaacman for NASA Administrator!" reflecting the populist support within Trump's base.
SpaceX Contracts and the Moon
For his part, Musk counterattacked in another tweet, indicating that "NASA" will not reach the moon faster than "SpaceX," referring to the company's $2.9 billion contract to develop a lunar lander for the planned Artemis 3 mission in 2027.
This came after Duffy's comments to CNBC, where he accused "SpaceX" of falling behind schedule and suggested reopening the contract to competitors like Jeff Bezos's "Blue Origin" to ensure the United States returns to the moon before China by 2030.
In response, Musk tweeted affirmations that "SpaceX" is "the only company that has successfully certified a new crewed orbital spacecraft in the United States," resharing criticisms of Duffy.
In an indirect response, Duffy tweeted: "I love the passion, this is a race, the moon is on, great companies aren't afraid of a challenge, when innovators compete, America wins!"
End of the Acting Role and White House Silence
Duffy's acting role ends at the end of the year, and the White House confirmed that any announcement about the permanent administrator will come directly from President Trump, without specifying a date. The struggle reflects tensions within the administration, especially after Musk withdrew from his role in Washington in June 2025 following disagreements with Trump over spending cuts in government efficiency management, including the Federal Aviation Administration.
Despite the tension, Trump and Musk have maintained a relatively civil tone, but this has not prevented Musk from criticizing other members of the administration. With increasing Chinese pressures in the space race, there are fears that the struggle could impact the Artemis program, which aims to send astronauts around the moon in February 2026.
