على طريقة الأفلام في واقعة غريبة تحمل طابع الإثارة والتخطيط المحكم، أحبطت أجهزة الأمن بمحافظة الإسكندرية في مصر محاولة سرقة جريئة استهدفت مكتب بريد، إذ لجأ المتهم إلى حيلة غير متوقعة، بحفر نفق سرّي من مسجد مجاور على أمل الوصول إلى خزينة المكتب دون أن يُكتشف أمره. لكن اليقظة الأمنية وضعت حداً لهذا المخطط.
وتلقى قسم شرطة ثان الرمل بلاغاً من مدير أحد مكاتب البريد بدائرة القسم، أفاد خلاله باكتشافه وجود فتحة في الحائط المشترك بين المكتب ومسجد ملاصق له، دون أن يتم رصد أي مسروقات.
وبإجراء التحريات وجمع المعلومات، توصلت فرق البحث إلى تحديد هوية المتهم، وتم ضبطه أثناء وجوده بمحل إقامته بمحافظة قنا. وتبين أنه عاطل وله معلومات جنائية مسجلة، وبمواجهته أقر بارتكاب الواقعة.
وذكر المتهم في اعترافاته أنه يتردد على شقيقته المقيمة بالإسكندرية بشكل دوري، وخلال زيارته الأخيرة راوده التفكير في سرقة مكتب البريد من خلال النقب. وأضاف أنه دخل إلى المسجد الملاصق للمكتب وانتظر حتى انتهاء الصلاة وانصراف المصلين، ثم استخدم أدوات بسيطة من بينها مطرقة وأزميل لحفر فتحة في الحائط، وتمكن من الدخول إلى المكتب. إلا أنه فشل في تنفيذ عملية السرقة بعد انطلاق صافرة الإنذار، ففر هارباً تاركاً خلفه الأدوات المستخدمة، التي تم ضبطها لاحقاً.
وتم اتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية اللازمة حيال الواقعة، في إطار استمرار جهود الأمن لمكافحة الجرائم الجنائية وتأمين المنشآت الحيوية.
In a bizarre incident reminiscent of movies, marked by excitement and meticulous planning, the security forces in Alexandria, Egypt, thwarted a bold theft attempt targeting a post office. The suspect resorted to an unexpected trick by digging a secret tunnel from a nearby mosque in hopes of reaching the office's safe without being discovered. However, vigilant security measures put an end to this scheme.
The Second Raml Police Station received a report from the manager of one of the post offices in the area, who informed them about discovering a hole in the wall shared between the office and an adjacent mosque, without any stolen items being reported.
After conducting investigations and gathering information, the search teams were able to identify the suspect, who was arrested at his residence in Qena Governorate. It was found that he was unemployed and had a criminal record, and upon confrontation, he admitted to committing the act.
The suspect mentioned in his confession that he regularly visited his sister residing in Alexandria, and during his last visit, he was tempted to steal from the post office through the tunnel. He added that he entered the mosque adjacent to the office and waited until the prayer ended and the worshippers left, then used simple tools including a hammer and chisel to dig a hole in the wall, allowing him to enter the office. However, he failed to execute the theft after the alarm sounded, fleeing and leaving behind the tools used, which were later seized.
Legal actions were taken regarding the incident, as part of ongoing security efforts to combat criminal offenses and secure vital facilities.
