A 4.7 magnitude earthquake struck Myanmar today, and it was felt by residents in several states in northeastern India, including Assam, Manipur, and Nagaland.
The National Center for Seismology in India reported in a statement that the earthquake occurred near the border between India and Myanmar, at a depth of 15 kilometers below the surface.
No immediate reports of casualties or damage due to the earthquake have been received.
