وصل الإعصار «بوالوي» إلى اليابسة بشمال وسط فيتنام في الساعات الأولى من صباح اليوم (الإثنين)، مما ألحق أضرارًا بالمنازل وتسبب في تضرر شبكات الكهرباء، فيما لقي شخص واحد على الأقل مصرعه واعتبر 12 صيادًا في عداد المفقودين.
وذكرت وكالة الأرصاد الجوية المحلية، أن الإعصار قبل وصوله إلى اليابسة تحرك على طول ساحل البلاد لعدة ساعات، مما تسبب في أمواج يصل ارتفاعها إلى ثمانية أمتار.
وذكرت وسائل إعلام رسمية أن شخصًا توفي بعد أن علق في مياه الفيضانات بمدينة «هوي»، بينما اعتبر 12 صيادًا في عداد المفقودين بعد أن أغرقت الأمواج العاتية أربعة قوارب صيد قبالة إقليم «كوانج تراي».
وأدى الإعصار إلى هطول أمطار غزيرة في معظم أنحاء فيتنام منذ يوم السبت، وحذّرت السلطات من خطر حدوث فيضانات وانهيارات أرضية شديدة.

Official media reported that one person died after being trapped in floodwaters in the city of "Hue," while 12 fishermen are considered missing after strong waves sank four fishing boats off the province of "Quang Tri."
The typhoon has brought heavy rainfall across most of Vietnam since Saturday, and authorities have warned of the risk of severe flooding and landslides.
