كان الشاب في مقتبل العمر من منطقة الرمد بحي أرمَد الشرقي في كوم أمبو، يعيش أيامه الأخيرة قبل الزفاف في إثارة وتوقع لبداية حياة جديدة مع خطيبته، ووفقاً لروايات أقاربه وأصدقائه، كان يتمتع بصحة جيدة ظاهرياً، ولم يشكُ من أي أعراض قلبية سابقة.

مساء الخميس 25 سبتمبر 2025، انطلق «أشرف» برفقة عروسته نحو قاعة الأفراح في كوم أمبو، مرتدياً بدلته البيضاء اللامعة، محاطاً بأهله وأصدقائه الذين كانوا يرقصون ويهللون مع أنغام الطبل البلدي.
وكانت الزفة قد بدأت لم تكمل 5 دقائق، عندما سقط أشرف فجأة على الأرض فاقداً الوعي أمام أعين الجميع، وسط حالة من الذهول والصدمة التي شلت حركة الحاضرين للحظات.
شهود عيان- بحسب وسائل إعلام محلية- وصفوا اللحظة قائلين: «كان يرقص بفرحة الدنيا، ثم انهار دون أي إشارة، وتحولت الزغاريد إلى صرخات رعب».

In moments that were supposed to be the happiest memories of his life, the night of joy turned into an unbelievable nightmare, as a young Egyptian man named Ashraf Hakim, known by the nickname "Abu Hakim," passed away in front of his bride, family, and guests while performing the "dance of a lifetime," after suffering a sudden heart attack during his wedding ceremony in Kom Ombo, north of Aswan Governorate. The joyful ululations turned into wails, and congratulations became condolences in the blink of an eye.

The young man, in the prime of his life from the Ramad area in the eastern district of Kom Ombo, was living his last days before the wedding with excitement and anticipation for a new life with his fiancée. According to accounts from his relatives and friends, he appeared to be in good health and had not complained of any previous heart symptoms.
Prophecy of Death
However, in the two days leading up to the event, he hinted at a "strange feeling" by telling a close friend: "Meeting is destiny, my dear brother," during their last phone call, as if it were a prophecy that came true without warning.
This hint, recounted by one of his friends in a social media post, added an additional dramatic touch to the story, as it is now viewed as a divine sign of his fate.

Details of the Tragic Death
On the evening of Thursday, September 25, 2025, "Ashraf" set off with his bride towards the wedding hall in Kom Ombo, wearing his shiny white suit, surrounded by family and friends who were dancing and cheering to the sounds of the local drum.
The procession had just begun and had not completed 5 minutes when Ashraf suddenly collapsed on the ground, losing consciousness in front of everyone, amidst a state of shock and disbelief that paralyzed the attendees for moments.
Eyewitnesses—according to local media—described the moment, saying: "He was dancing with the joy of the world, then he collapsed without any warning, and the ululations turned into screams of terror."
Meanwhile, cameras of the guests and videos circulated on social media captured the painful moment, as family and friends attempted to provide manual assistance before rushing him immediately to Kom Ombo Central Hospital, still wearing his full wedding attire.

Medical Intervention
Upon his arrival at the hospital, the medical team rushed to provide first aid and a thorough examination, but fate was quicker, and doctors announced his official death just a few minutes later, indicating that the primary cause was "acute and sudden cardiac arrest," resulting from a sudden stop in heartbeats, with no chance for resuscitation.
According to an initial medical report circulated from medical sources in the hospital, the victim had no medical history indicating a heart problem, making the incident even more mysterious and painful.
Happy Heart Syndrome
In a broader medical context, the incident sparked discussions about "Happy Heart Syndrome" (Takotsubo cardiomyopathy), a rare condition known to cause temporary weakening of the heart muscle due to intense positive emotions such as excessive joy or excitement, leading to a heart attack.
