أعلنت الهيئة الوطنية لإدارة الكوارث في باكستان، إجلاء نحو 3.2 مليون شخص من المناطق المتضررة بالفيضانات المدمرة التي اجتاحت مختلف أنحاء البلاد.
ونقلت وكالة الأنباء الباكستانية عن الهيئة قولها، في بيان، إن هؤلاء الأشخاص تم إجلاؤهم من مناطق أقاليم البنجاب والسند وجلجت بلتستان وآزاد جامو وكشمير، وتم نقلهم إلى مناطق أكثر أمانا.
وأوضحت أنه تم إجلاء 2.7 مليون شخص من إقليم البنجاب الباكستاني الأكثر تضررا بالفيضانات.
كما أكدت الهيئة أن الأمطار الموسمية الغزيرة والسيول والفيضانات أسفرت عن مقتل 1006 أشخاص وإصابة 1063 شخصا، وتدمير 12569 منزلا، ونفوق 6509 مواش منذ 26 يونيو الماضي.
The National Disaster Management Authority in Pakistan announced the evacuation of about 3.2 million people from areas affected by the devastating floods that swept across various parts of the country.
The Pakistan News Agency reported that the authority stated in a statement that these individuals were evacuated from the regions of Punjab, Sindh, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and were moved to safer areas.
It clarified that 2.7 million people were evacuated from the Punjab province, which has been the hardest hit by the floods.
The authority also confirmed that the heavy monsoon rains, flash floods, and inundations have resulted in the deaths of 1,006 people and injuries to 1,063 individuals, the destruction of 12,569 homes, and the loss of 6,509 livestock since June 26.
