تشهد نيبال منذ أوائل سبتمبر (أيلول) 2025 موجة احتجاجات واسعة عقب قرار حكومي مثير للجدل بحظر 26 منصة للتواصل الاجتماعي، ما أثار غضب الشباب والمواطنين وتحول سريعاً إلى حركة احتجاجية عنيفة شملت أنحاء البلاد.
الوزير يفرّ ويترك زوجته
خلال المظاهرات، اقتحم محتجون منزل الوزير السابق شارد سينغ بهنداري الذي اندلعت فيه النيران، بينما فرّ الوزير هارباً تاركاً زوجته المقعدة تيرينا بهنداري، المصابة بشلل نصفي، تواجه ألسنة اللهب بمفردها.
المحتجون ينقذونها
وثقت الكاميرات لحظة تدخل المتظاهرين لإنقاذ الزوجة من داخل المنزل المحترق، حيث تعاونوا على حملها ونقلها إلى المستشفى لتلقي الرعاية الطبية. وأشاد ناشطون محليون بمشهد التضامن الذي أظهرته اللقطات، معتبرين أن «روح الجماعة» أنقذت حياتها في لحظة حرجة.
وفاة زوجة رئيس وزراء سابق
وفي سياق متصل، شهدت العاصمة كاتماندو مأساة أخرى بعدما اندلع حريق في منزل راجيا لاكشمي تشيتراكار، زوجة رئيس الوزراء السابق جالاناث خانال، ما أدى إلى إصابتها بحروق خطيرة قبل أن تفارق الحياة لاحقاً في مستشفى كيرتيبور.

In a related context, the capital Kathmandu witnessed another tragedy after a fire broke out in the home of Rajya Lakshmi Chitrakar, the wife of former Prime Minister Jhalanath Khanal, resulting in severe burns before she later passed away at Kirtipur Hospital.
