تمكّن فريق طبي في الصين من إنقاذ حياة رجل بعد أن اكتشفوا دودة شريطية ملتوية بطول 18 سنتيمتراً داخل دماغه، نتيجة تناول لحوم ثعبان نيئة قبل سنوات عدة، في حادثة أثارت اهتمام وسائل الإعلام حول العالم.
أعراض غامضة استمرت سنوات
المريض المعروف باسم «لي» تم نقله إلى مستشفى في مقاطعة هونان بعد أن بدأ يعاني من نوبات صرع متكررة وفقدان للوعي مصحوب بخروج رغوة من الفم. وبحسب الأطباء، كانت بداية معاناته منذ نحو عام، عندما لاحظ اضطراباً غريباً في عينه وصفه بأنه يشبه «الفسيفساء». ولم تكشف الفحوص الأولية أي مشكلة، بينما أظهر التصوير بالرنين المغناطيسي وجود جسم غريب خلف العين.
عملية جراحية دقيقة لإنقاذ حياته
ومع تفاقم حالته خلال الشهر الماضي، اضطر الأطباء لإجراء عملية جراحية عاجلة لفتح الجمجمة، وتمكنوا خلالها من استخراج الدودة الشريطية البيضاء الطويلة، التي كانت تتحرك داخل دماغه بشكل واضح أثناء العملية.
السبب.. استهلاك لحوم نيئة
وأوضح الأطباء أن الإصابة تعود إلى حادثة وقعت قبل سنوات، حين ابتلع «لي» أجزاء نيئة من ثعبان تحدّيًا، دون أن يدرك أن يرقات الدودة الشريطية (Sparganum) قد دخلت جسمه. وعلى مدار السنوات، انتقلت اليرقات داخل جسده واستقرت في الدماغ، مسببة أعراضاً عصبية خطيرة.
ما داء السبارغانوزيس؟
داء السبارغانوزيس هو عدوى تسببها يرقات الدودة الشريطية Sparganum mansoni التي تنتقل عادة عبر تناول لحوم الضفادع والثعابين والطيور النيئة أو غير المطهية جيداً. ومن الممكن أن يعاني المرض من أعراض عصبية حادة، وفي بعض الحالات النادرة، قد يسبب الموت.
تحذير من المخاطر الصحية
أكد الأطباء تحسن حالة «لي» بشكل ملحوظ بعد 10 أيام من العملية، ومن المتوقع أن يتعافى بشكل كامل. وشددوا على أن قصته تشكل تحذيراً واضحاً من مخاطر تناول اللحوم النيئة، التي قد تؤدي إلى أمراض مميتة.

Mysterious symptoms lasted for years
The patient, known as "Li," was transferred to a hospital in Hunan Province after he began experiencing recurrent seizures and loss of consciousness accompanied by foaming at the mouth. According to doctors, his suffering began about a year ago when he noticed a strange disturbance in his eye that he described as resembling "mosaic." Initial examinations revealed no issues, while an MRI showed a foreign object behind the eye.
Precise surgery to save his life
As his condition worsened over the past month, doctors were forced to perform an emergency surgery to open his skull, during which they managed to extract the long white tapeworm that was visibly moving inside his brain during the operation.
The cause... consumption of raw meat
Doctors explained that the infection dates back to an incident that occurred years ago when "Li" swallowed raw parts of a snake as a challenge, unaware that the larvae of the tapeworm (Sparganum) had entered his body. Over the years, the larvae migrated within his body and settled in the brain, causing severe neurological symptoms.

Sparganosis is an infection caused by the larvae of the tapeworm Sparganum mansoni, which is typically transmitted through the consumption of raw or undercooked frog, snake, and bird meat. The disease can lead to severe neurological symptoms and, in rare cases, may cause death.

Doctors confirmed that "Li's" condition improved significantly after 10 days post-surgery, and he is expected to make a full recovery. They emphasized that his story serves as a clear warning about the dangers of consuming raw meat, which can lead to fatal diseases.
