أثار حادث مؤلم في القاهرة صدمة واسعة بعد وفاة طفل يبلغ من العمر 13 عامًا داخل منزله عقب تناوله 3 أكياس من النودلز سريعة التحضير دون طهي.
ووفقًا لبيان أمني، تلقت شرطة المرج إخطارًا بوفاة الطفل، حيث عُثر على جثمانه خاليًا من أي إصابات خارجية. وأكدت أسرته أنه تناول كمية كبيرة من النودلز الخام دفعة واحدة، مما أصابه بإعياء شديد انتهى بوفاته المفاجئة.
وأمرت النيابة العامة المصرية بالتحفظ على صاحب المحل الذي باع المنتج للطفل، وأرسلت عينات من الأكياس للتحليل، إلى جانب تشريح الجثمان لتحديد السبب الدقيق للوفاة. وأشارت التحقيقات الأولية إلى أن المنتج مطابق للمواصفات، مما يرجّح أن السبب هو الكمية الضخمة المتناولة بطريقة غير آمنة، والتي قد تؤدي إلى انسداد أو اضطرابات حادة في الجهاز الهضمي.
وأشعلت الحادثة الجدل على منصة «إكس» (تويتر سابقًا)، إذ دعا كثيرون إلى تشديد الرقابة على منتجات النودلز وإضافة تحذيرات واضحة على العبوات. وكتب أحد المستخدمين: «الإندومي خطر على أطفالنا.. لا بد من رقابة وتحذيرات صارمة».
وتعد النودلز من أكثر الأطعمة شعبية بين الأطفال والمراهقين في مصر، بفضل سعرها الزهيد وسهولة تحضيرها، لكنها ارتبطت في السنوات الأخيرة بعدة حوادث مأساوية، فضلًا عن تحذيرات خبراء التغذية من خطورتها عند الإفراط في استهلاكها بسبب احتوائها على نسب عالية من الصوديوم والمواد الحافظة، ما قد يسبب مشكلات في الكبد والكلى والجهاز الهضمي.

According to a security statement, the police in Al-Marg received a report about the child's death, where his body was found free of any external injuries. His family confirmed that he consumed a large amount of raw noodles all at once, which led to severe illness that ended in his sudden death.
The Egyptian public prosecutor ordered the detention of the shop owner who sold the product to the child and sent samples of the bags for analysis, along with an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. Initial investigations indicated that the product met specifications, suggesting that the cause was the large quantity consumed in an unsafe manner, which could lead to blockages or severe disturbances in the digestive system.
The incident sparked debate on the platform "X" (formerly Twitter), as many called for stricter regulations on noodle products and the addition of clear warnings on the packaging. One user wrote: "Indomie is a danger to our children... there must be strict monitoring and warnings."
