تتواصل حالة التأهب القصوى في اليابان بعد اكتشاف أن نحو 16,000 لعبة مسدس بلاستيكية، تُستخدم كجوائز في ألعاب المخالب (claw machines) في أنحاء البلاد، قادرة على إطلاق ذخيرة حية.
وأصدرت وكالة الشرطة الوطنية اليابانية (NPA) تحذيرا عاجلا بأن آلاف الأسلحة النارية غير القانونية كانت تُقدم كجوائز في ألعاب المخالب في جميع أنحاء البلاد، مشيرة إلى أن السلطات تتسابق لسحبها من السوق.
المسدس البلاستيكي المسمى «ريال جيميك ميني ريفولفر» الذي تم استيراده من الصين ليُستخدم كجائزة في ألعاب المخالب، بدا في ظاهره لعبة بريئة بألوان زاهية، لكن مواصفاته الفنية كشفت عن إمكانية استخدامه كسلاح ناري فعلي. بحسب صحيفة «mail online» يأتي المسدس مع ثماني رصاصات بلاستيكية تُستخدم لإصابة أهداف أو للمزاح، لكن وكالة الشرطة الوطنية اكتشفت أنه يمكن استخدامه أيضا لإطلاق ذخيرة حية.
ونشرت وكالة الشرطة الوطنية قائمة تضم 16 نموذجا من الألعاب التي تُعتبر مسدسات قادرة على إطلاق رصاص حقيقي، ما قد يتسبب في إصابات قاتلة، جميع هذه الألعاب مصنوعة في الصين، وتتميز بمطارق مصنوعة إما من المعدن أو من بلاستيك صلب بما يكفي، وموضوعة في الموضع المناسب، مع أنبوب واسع بما يكفي لاستيعاب رصاصات صغيرة العيار.
وتُعد حيازة هذه المسدسات انتهاكا لقانون السيطرة على الأسلحة النارية والسيوف، وأكدت الوكالة ضرورة تسليمها إلى أقرب مركز شرطة.
وتم بيع «ريال جيميك ميني ريفولفر» إلى 78 شركة يابانية في 31 محافظة من قِبل شركة تستورده من الصين منذ ديسمبر من العام الماضي. ويستهدف هذا المسدس الأطفال بعمر 12 عاما فما فوق، لكن السلطات حذرت من أن استخدامه كسلاح ناري قد يؤدي إلى عواقب كارثية، إذ قد يطلق الرصاص في اتجاه غير متوقع أو ينفجر في يد المستخدم، كونه لعبة بلاستيكية رخيصة تحمل إمكانات قاتلة.
وأكدت وكالة الشرطة الوطنية أن أي شخص يمتلك هذه الألعاب البلاستيكية يُعتبر حائزا أسلحة نارية غير قانونية، ويجب تسليمها إلى الشرطة في أقرب وقت ممكن.

The National Police Agency (NPA) issued an urgent warning that thousands of illegal firearms were being offered as prizes in claw machines nationwide, indicating that authorities are racing to withdraw them from the market.
The plastic gun named "Real Gimmick Mini Revolver," imported from China to be used as a prize in claw machines, appeared to be an innocent toy in bright colors, but its technical specifications revealed the possibility of using it as a real firearm. According to the "Mail Online," the gun comes with eight plastic bullets used for hitting targets or for fun, but the National Police Agency discovered that it can also be used to fire live ammunition.
The National Police Agency published a list of 16 models of toys considered to be guns capable of firing real bullets, which could cause fatal injuries. All these toys are made in China and feature hammers made either of metal or hard enough plastic, positioned correctly, with a barrel wide enough to accommodate small-caliber bullets.
Possessing these guns is a violation of the firearms and swords control law, and the agency emphasized the necessity of surrendering them to the nearest police station.
The "Real Gimmick Mini Revolver" has been sold to 78 Japanese companies in 31 prefectures by a company importing it from China since December of last year. This gun is aimed at children aged 12 and older, but authorities warned that using it as a firearm could lead to catastrophic consequences, as it may fire in an unexpected direction or explode in the user's hand, being a cheap plastic toy with lethal potential.
The National Police Agency confirmed that anyone possessing these plastic toys is considered to be in possession of illegal firearms and must surrender them to the police as soon as possible.
