أعلنت السلطات الألمانية العثور على جثة الطيار المفقود من طاقم مروحية عسكرية من طراز EC135 تابعة للجيش الألماني «البوندسفير»، تحطمت في نهر مولده قرب بلدة جريما بولاية ساكسونيا شرقي ألمانيا الثلاثاء الماضي، لترتفع حصيلة ضحايا الحادثة المأساوية إلى 3 قتلى، فيما تواصل السلطات تحقيقاتها لكشف أسباب الكارثة.
وقعت الحادثة صباح الثلاثاء، خلال رحلة تدريبية روتينية للمروحية التي كانت تابعة لجناح الطيران 64 في قاعدة هولزدورف الجوية، واختفت المروحية، التي كانت تحلق على ارتفاع منخفض، من شاشات الرادار، قبل أن يبلغ قواربون على النهر عن رؤية حطامها في مياه نهر مولده.
وهرعت فرق الطوارئ، التي ضمت أكثر من 200 فرد من الشرطة والغواصين وفرق الإنقاذ، إلى الموقع، حيث تم العثور على جثتي اثنين من أفراد الطاقم في الموقع مباشرة، واستمرت عمليات البحث عن الطيار الثالث لأكثر من 48 ساعة، وسط تحديات كبيرة بسبب التيارات المائية القوية وسوء الرؤية تحت الماء، إضافة إلى تسرب كميات من الكيروسين من حطام المروحية، ما استلزم نشر حواجز لاحتواء التسرب.
وفي مساء الخميس، أكدت السلطات العثور على جثة الطيار المفقود، لتنتهي بذلك آمال العثور على ناجين، وأعرب وزير الدفاع الألماني بوريس بيستوريوس عن حزنه العميق للحادثة، قائلاً في بيان رسمي: «أصبحت مخاوفنا حقيقة مؤلمة، وفاة الطيار الثالث تملأ البوندسفير وأنا شخصياً بالحزن العميق، لقد فقدنا جندية وجنديين في خدمة بلادنا».
وأضاف أن التحقيقات جارية بالتعاون بين مكتب سلامة الطيران في البوندسفير ومحققين مدنيين لتحديد أسباب الحادثة، مشيراً إلى أن سجلات صيانة المروحية وبيانات الرحلة وشهادات الشهود قيد التحليل.
وأُغلقت المنطقة المحيطة بموقع الحادثة كمنطقة عسكرية مقيدة، وفرض مكتب الطيران الاتحادي منطقة حظر طيران بقطر 3.7 كيلومتر، كما أوقفت البوندسفير جميع الرحلات التدريبية المماثلة مؤقتاً كإجراء احترازي، وتحولت بلدة جريما، المعروفة بجمالها الطبيعي وهدوئها، إلى مركز اهتمام وطني، حيث وضع السكان المحليون الشموع والزهور على ضفاف النهر تكريماً للضحايا.
The German authorities announced the discovery of the body of the missing pilot from the crew of a military helicopter of the type EC135 belonging to the German army "Bundeswehr," which crashed into the Mulde River near the town of Grimma in the state of Saxony in eastern Germany last Tuesday, raising the death toll from the tragic incident to 3, while authorities continue their investigations to uncover the causes of the disaster.
The incident occurred on Tuesday morning during a routine training flight for the helicopter, which was part of Wing 64 at the Holzdorf Air Base. The helicopter, which was flying at a low altitude, disappeared from radar screens before boaters on the river reported seeing its wreckage in the waters of the Mulde River.
Emergency teams, comprising more than 200 individuals from the police, divers, and rescue teams, rushed to the site, where the bodies of two crew members were found immediately. The search for the third pilot continued for more than 48 hours, amid significant challenges due to strong water currents and poor underwater visibility, in addition to the leakage of kerosene from the helicopter wreckage, which necessitated the deployment of barriers to contain the spill.
On Thursday evening, authorities confirmed the discovery of the missing pilot's body, thus ending hopes of finding survivors. German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius expressed his deep sorrow over the incident, stating in an official statement: "Our fears have become a painful reality; the death of the third pilot fills the Bundeswehr and myself with deep sadness. We have lost one soldier and two soldiers in the service of our country."
He added that investigations are ongoing in cooperation between the Bundeswehr's Aviation Safety Office and civilian investigators to determine the causes of the incident, noting that the helicopter's maintenance records, flight data, and witness testimonies are under analysis.
The area surrounding the incident site has been closed off as a restricted military zone, and the Federal Aviation Office has imposed a no-fly zone with a radius of 3.7 kilometers. The Bundeswehr has also temporarily suspended all similar training flights as a precautionary measure. The town of Grimma, known for its natural beauty and tranquility, has become a center of national attention, with local residents placing candles and flowers along the riverbanks in honor of the victims.
