أعلنت الهيئة الجيوفيزيائية الموحدة التابعة لأكاديمية العلوم الروسية، اليوم، تسجيل هزة ارتدادية بقوة 6.7 درجة قبالة مدينة بتروبافلوفسك-كامتشاتسكي.
وأوضح المكتب الصحفي في كامتشاتكا التابع للهيئة الجيوفيزيائية، أنه تم تسجيل هزات ارتدادية على بعد 379 كيلومترًا من مدينة بتروبافلوفسك-كامتشاتسكي، بعمق 58.4 كم وقوة تقدر بنحو 6.7 درجة.
وكان الزلزال الذي ضرب أمس شبه جزيرة كامتشاتكا الروسية، يعد الأقوى منذ عام 1952، إذ بلغت شدته 8.7 درجة على مقياس ريختر، لتعلن السلطات في إقليم كامتشاتكا عقب وقوع الزلزال وجود خطر حدوث تسونامي، وحث السكان على عدم الاقتراب من الساحل في المناطق الخطرة.
The Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences announced today the recording of an aftershock measuring 6.7 degrees off the coast of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
The press office in Kamchatka, affiliated with the geophysical service, clarified that aftershocks were recorded 379 kilometers from the city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, at a depth of 58.4 km and with a magnitude estimated at about 6.7 degrees.
The earthquake that struck the Kamchatka Peninsula yesterday was the strongest since 1952, with a magnitude of 8.7 on the Richter scale. Following the earthquake, authorities in the Kamchatka region announced a tsunami threat and urged residents to stay away from the coast in hazardous areas.
