أعلنت إدارة الطيران والفضاء الأمريكية (ناسا) اليوم، مغادرة نحو 20% من موظفيها مناصبهم ضمن خطة لإعادة هيكلة الإدارة، وتعزيز كفاءتها التشغيلية.
وقال متحدث باسم الإدارة، إنه من المتوقع أن يغادر 3870 موظفاً مناصبهم مستقبلاً، منوهاً إلى إمكانية تغير هذا العدد خلال الأيام والأسابيع القادمة.
وتوقع أن يبلغ عدد الموظفين المتبقين في الإدارة نحو 14 ألف موظف، دون أن يكشف عن موعد بدء تسريح هؤلاء الموظفين.
وكان الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب قد أعلن بعد عودته للبيت الأبيض في يناير الماضي نيته تسريح آلاف الموظفين ضمن خطة لإعادة هيكلة العديد من المؤسسات الحكومية التي تتلقى تمويلات من دافعي الضرائب.

A spokesperson for the agency stated that it is expected that 3,870 employees will leave their positions in the future, noting that this number may change in the coming days and weeks.
It is anticipated that the number of remaining employees in the agency will be around 14,000, without disclosing when the layoffs will begin.
U.S. President Donald Trump had announced after returning to the White House last January his intention to lay off thousands of employees as part of a plan to restructure several government agencies that receive funding from taxpayers.
