لقي ستة عمال مصرعهم بانفجار في منجم فحم بولاية «بغلان» شمالي أفغانستان.
وذكرت السلطات المحلية، في بيان، أن انفجاراً وقع (الإثنين) في منجم «كاركار» لاستخراج الفحم بولاية «بغلان» ما أسفر عن مقتل ستة عمال وإصابة آخرين، طبقاً لتقرير من مسؤولين محليين.
من جهته، قال مدير المنجم مولوي عبدالله إن 18 عاملاً آخرين أصيبوا أيضاً خلال الحادث، موضحاً أن انفجاراً وقع في المنجم (الإثنين)، دون أن يقدم السبب الدقيق والظروف المحيطة بالحادث، لكنه أوضح أنه جرى نقل جميع المصابين إلى مستشفيات قريبة لتلقي علاج طبي عاجل.
تجدر الإشارة إلى أن عمليات التعدين غير النظامية وغير الآمنة في أفغانستان غالباً ما تتسبب بحوادث مميتة، خصوصاً في مناجم الفحم.
Six workers were killed in an explosion at a coal mine in the "Baghlan" province of northern Afghanistan.
Local authorities stated in a statement that an explosion occurred (on Monday) at the "Karkar" coal extraction mine in Baghlan province, resulting in the death of six workers and injuring others, according to a report from local officials.
For his part, the mine manager, Mullah Abdullah, said that 18 other workers were also injured during the incident, explaining that an explosion occurred at the mine (on Monday), without providing the exact cause and circumstances surrounding the incident. However, he clarified that all the injured were transferred to nearby hospitals for urgent medical treatment.
It is worth noting that irregular and unsafe mining operations in Afghanistan often lead to fatal accidents, especially in coal mines.
