كما أكدت التحاليل المعملية لعينات الدم والبول والسائل النخاعي، التي أُجريت في المعامل المركزية، خلو الحالات من أمراض مثل التهاب السحايا الفيروسي أو البكتيري، وأشار البيان إلى أن تحاليل عينات المياه من منزل الأطفال أثبتت مطابقتها للمواصفات الصحية، ولم تسجل أي إصابات بأمراض معدية بين أفراد الأسرة أو الأشخاص المحيطين، وتتولى الجهات القضائية حالياً التحقيق في أسباب الوفاة غير المرضية.

ووفقاً لمصادر طبية، أصيب الأطفال بأعراض حادة شملت ارتفاعاً شديداً في درجة الحرارة، تشنجات، صداعاً، تيبّساً في الرقبة، قيئاً، واضطرابات في الوعي، مما أثار شبهات مبدئية حول إصابتهم بالتهاب السحايا، ومع ذلك، أصدرت وزارة الصحة والسكان بياناً رسمياً، نفت فيه بشكل قاطع أن تكون الوفيات ناتجة عن التهاب السحايا أو أي مرض معدٍ.
وأكدت الوزارة أن تحاليل الدم والبول والسائل النخاعي، التي أجريت في المعامل المركزية، أظهرت خلو الحالات من أي أمراض معدية، بما في ذلك التهاب السحايا الفيروسي أو البكتيري. كما أثبتت فحوصات عينات المياه من منزل الأسرة مطابقتها للمواصفات، مما يستبعد التسمم المائي كسبب محتمل.
