في خطوة جديدة لتوسيع نفوذه في عالم الذكاء الاصطناعي، دخل الملياردير الأمريكي إيلون ماسك في مفاوضات متقدمة لبناء مركز بيانات ضخم في السعودية، عبر شركته الناشئة xAI، وفقاً لما نقلته وكالة «بلومبيرغ».
وتجري المحادثات بين شركة xAI وشركة Humain السعودية، لاستئجار سعة بيانات هائلة تصل إلى عدّة غيغاواطات، ما يجعل المشروع أحد أضخم مراكز البيانات في العالم في حال إتمام الاتفاق.
وتأتي الخطوة بدعم من صندوق الاستثمارات العامة السعودي (PIF)، الذي يلعب دوراً محورياً في تمويل البنية التحتية للمشروع، ما يعزز موقع المملكة كوجهة إقليمية وعالمية واعدة في مجال الذكاء الاصطناعي والحوسبة السحابية.
يُذكر أن شركة xAI أُطلقت في 2023 بهدف منافسة عمالقة الذكاء الاصطناعي، وتسعى لتطوير أنظمة ذكاء اصطناعي متقدمة، حسب ما صرح به ماسك سابقاً.
إذا ما أُبرمت الصفقة، فإن المشروع سيمثل نقطة تحوّل كبرى في خريطة مراكز البيانات عالمياً، كما سيعزز مكانة المملكة ضمن القوى التقنية التي تستثمر بقوة في مستقبل التكنولوجيا.
In a new step to expand his influence in the world of artificial intelligence, American billionaire Elon Musk has entered advanced negotiations to build a massive data center in Saudi Arabia through his startup xAI, according to a report by Bloomberg.
The talks are taking place between xAI and the Saudi company Humain to lease enormous data capacity reaching several gigawatts, making the project one of the largest data centers in the world if the agreement is finalized.
This step is supported by the Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF), which plays a pivotal role in financing the infrastructure of the project, enhancing the Kingdom's position as a promising regional and global destination in the field of artificial intelligence and cloud computing.
It is worth noting that xAI was launched in 2023 with the aim of competing with AI giants and seeks to develop advanced artificial intelligence systems, as Musk has previously stated.
If the deal is concluded, the project will represent a major turning point in the global data center landscape and will enhance the Kingdom's status among the tech powers that are heavily investing in the future of technology.
