أفادت الشرطة الماليزية بأن اثنين من رجالها الخمسة الذين شاركوا في مناورات «ميتساتوم 2025» للكشف عن الأمن النووي متعدد الأطراف صباح (الخميس)، في حالة حرجة إثر تحطم المروحية التي استخدموها بعد هبوط حاد ومفاجئ فوق أحد الأنهار.
وصرح المفتش العام للشرطة، محمد خالد إسماعيل، بأن حالات الضحايا الثلاث الآخرين مستقرة، ويتلقون العلاج حالياً في مستشفى سلطانة أمينة في /جوهور بهارو/، عاصمة ولاية جوهور، جنوبي ماليزيا.
وأضاف أن جميع المصابين الخمسة تلقوا العلاج الفوري بمساعدة أطباء متخصصين في المستشفى فور وقوع الحادث.
وأفادت التقارير أن مروحية تابعة للشرطة تحطمت بالقرب من رصيف وكالة الملاحة البحرية الماليزية في «جيلانغ باتاه»، أثناء قيامها باستعراض جوي بمناسبة تمرين MITSATOM 2025، الذي تشارك فيه أربع دول: ماليزيا وإندونيسيا وتايلاند وسنغافورة.
وأكدت هيئة الطيران المدني الماليزية في بيان أن الحادثة وقعت لطائرة هليكويتر من طراز (AS355N).
ووفقاً للهيئة، أقلعت المروحية من مركز شرطة «تانجونغ كوبانغ» الساعة 9:51 صباحاً، وكانت تقل خمسة ركاب بمن فيهم الطيار.
وأفادت الهيئة بأن مكتب تحقيقات الحوادث الجوية التابع لوزارة النقل سيجري المزيد من التحقيقات وفقاً للجزء السادس والعشرين من لوائح الطيران المدني لعام 2016م.
في غضون ذلك، تُركز الشرطة حالياً جهودها للعثور على الصندوق الأسود للطائرة المروحية المنكوبة.
The Malaysian police reported that two of their five officers who participated in the "MITSATOM 2025" multi-party nuclear security exercise on Thursday morning are in critical condition after the helicopter they were using crashed following a sudden and steep descent over one of the rivers.
The Inspector General of Police, Mohamed Khalid Ismail, stated that the conditions of the other three victims are stable, and they are currently receiving treatment at Sultan Aminah Hospital in Johor Bahru, the capital of Johor state in southern Malaysia.
He added that all five injured individuals received immediate medical assistance from specialized doctors at the hospital right after the incident occurred.
Reports indicated that a police helicopter crashed near the dock of the Malaysian Maritime Agency in "Jeling Patang" while performing an aerial display for the MITSATOM 2025 exercise, which involves four countries: Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Singapore.
The Malaysian Civil Aviation Authority confirmed in a statement that the incident involved a helicopter of the model (AS355N).
According to the authority, the helicopter took off from the "Tanjung Kupang" police station at 9:51 AM and was carrying five passengers, including the pilot.
The authority stated that the Air Accident Investigation Bureau of the Ministry of Transport will conduct further investigations in accordance with Section 26 of the Civil Aviation Regulations of 2016.
Meanwhile, the police are currently focusing their efforts on locating the black box of the crashed helicopter.
