أنقذ أفراد من الدفاع المدني بمدينة لوس أنجلوس الأمريكية 31 عاملاً، جراء انهيار جزء من نفق قيد الإنشاء في منطقة «ويلمنجتون» بمدينة لوس أنجلوس الأمريكية.
وصرح مصدر مسؤول بالمدينة أنه تم إنقاذ عمال البناء المحاصرين داخل النفق تحت الأرض بعد حوالى ساعة من الانهيار، ولم يصب أحد بأي إصابات.
ووقع الانهيار في نفق تصريف مياه الصرف الصحي في المدينة، وتبلغ تكلفته 630.5 مليون دولار، وهو جزء من مشروع «كليرووتر» الخاص بالصرف الصحي.
وكان العمال يعملون على عمق نحو 400 قدم (121 متراً) تحت الأرض عندما وقع الحادث. ولا تزال السلطات تحقق في السبب وراء وقوع الحادث.
Members of the civil defense in Los Angeles, USA, rescued 31 workers after a section of a tunnel under construction collapsed in the "Wilmington" area of Los Angeles.
A city official stated that the trapped construction workers were rescued from the underground tunnel about an hour after the collapse, and no one was injured.
The collapse occurred in a sewage drainage tunnel in the city, which costs $630.5 million and is part of the "Clearwater" sewage project.
The workers were operating at a depth of about 400 feet (121 meters) underground when the incident occurred. Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
