نقلت صحيفة «وول ستريت جورنال» أن الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة «ميتا» مارك زوكربيرغ عيَّن 3 باحثين من شركة «أوبن إيه آي»، للانضمام إلى فريقه المخصص لتطوير «الذكاء الفائق»، وذلك بعد أيام من اتهام سام ألتمان، الرئيس التنفيذي لأوبن إيه آي، لـ«ميتا» بمحاولة استمالة موظفيه.
وأكد متحدث باسم «أوبن إيه آي» مغادرة الباحثين الثلاثة، وهم لوكاس باير، ألكسندر كوليسنيكوف، وشياوهوا زهاي، الذين كانوا يعملون في مكتب الشركة بزيورخ، دون تقديم تفاصيل إضافية.
ولم تصدر «ميتا» تعليقاً فورياً على التقرير خارج ساعات العمل الرسمية.
وكان «ألتمان» كشف الأسبوع الماضي أن «ميتا» عرضت مكافآت مالية تصل إلى 100 مليون دولار لجذب موظفي «أوبن إيه آي».
وتأتي هذه الخطوة في وقت تواجه فيه «ميتا» تحديات كبيرة، حيث كانت رائدة سابقاً في نماذج الذكاء الاصطناعي مفتوحة المصدر، لكنها عانت أخيراً من هجرة المواهب وتأخير إطلاق نماذج ذكاء اصطناعي جديدة قادرة على منافسة نماذج شركات مثل جوجل، أوبن إيه آي، وديب سييك الصينية.
وفي تصريح سابق، قال ألتمان إن «ميتا» تعتبر «أوبن إيه آي» أكبر منافسيها.
وفي سياق متصل، قامت «ميتا» أخيراً بتعيين ألكسندر وانغ، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة سكيل إيه آي البالغ من العمر 28 عاماً، لدعم جهودها في تطوير «الذكاء الفائق»، كما استحوذت «ميتا» على حصة 49% في سكيل إيه آي بقيمة 14.3 مليار دولار.
وتسعى «ميتا» حالياً لاستعادة مكانتها في سباق الذكاء الاصطناعي من خلال تشكيل فريق من الخبراء لتحقيق ما يُعرف بـ«الذكاء العام الاصطناعي (AGI)»، وهو هدف طموح يهدف إلى تطوير أنظمة ذكاء اصطناعي قادرة على أداء المهمات الفكرية البشرية بكفاءة عالية.
The Wall Street Journal reported that Meta's CEO Mark Zuckerberg has appointed three researchers from OpenAI to join his team dedicated to developing "superintelligence," just days after Sam Altman, the CEO of OpenAI, accused Meta of trying to poach his employees.
A spokesperson for OpenAI confirmed the departure of the three researchers—Lucas Beyer, Alexander Kolesnikov, and Xiaohua Zhai—who were working at the company's Zurich office, without providing additional details.
Meta did not issue an immediate comment on the report outside of regular business hours.
Last week, Altman revealed that Meta offered financial incentives of up to $100 million to attract OpenAI employees.
This move comes at a time when Meta is facing significant challenges, having previously been a leader in open-source AI models, but recently suffering from talent migration and delays in launching new AI models capable of competing with those from companies like Google, OpenAI, and Chinese firm DeepMind.
In a previous statement, Altman said that Meta considers OpenAI its biggest competitor.
In related news, Meta recently appointed 28-year-old Alexander Wang, CEO of Scale AI, to support its efforts in developing "superintelligence," and also acquired a 49% stake in Scale AI for $14.3 billion.
Meta is currently seeking to regain its position in the AI race by forming a team of experts to achieve what is known as "Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)," an ambitious goal aimed at developing AI systems capable of performing human cognitive tasks with high efficiency.
