شهدت العاصمة الأردنية (عمّان) فجر الأربعاء حادثة سرقة وصفت بأنها «الأكبر من نوعها»، حيث استهدف مجهولون إحدى الشركات الكبرى التابعة لرجل أعمال أردني بارز.
وتمكّن الجناة من سرقة مجوهرات ثمينة تشمل قطعاً نادرة من الماس والذهب، إضافة إلى مبلغ نقدي يُقدّر بمليوني دينار أردني (حوالى 2.8 مليون دولار أمريكي)، في عملية أثارت صدمة في الأوساط الاقتصادية والشعبية.
وفقاً لمصادر أمنية، تم اختراق خزينة الشركة الرئيسية في مقرها بمنطقة وسط عمّان باستخدام تقنيات متطورة تشير إلى تخطيط محكم وتنفيذ محترف، وباشرت الأجهزة الأمنية تحقيقاتها فور تلقي البلاغ، حيث شوهدت فرق متخصصة من الأمن العام تجمع الأدلة من موقع الحادث.
ولم تكشف السلطات الأردنية بعد عن هوية الجناة أو دوافعهم، لكن مصادر مطلعة أشارت إلى أن العملية قد تكون استهدفت قطعاً معينة من المجوهرات ذات قيمة استثنائية.

وفي 2019، سجّل الأردن سرقة مجوهرات بقيمة 1.5 مليون دينار من متجر في منطقة الدوار السابع، تم حلها لاحقاً بتوقيف عصابة منظمة.

The Jordanian capital (Amman) witnessed a theft incident early Wednesday that has been described as "the largest of its kind," where unknown assailants targeted one of the major companies belonging to a prominent Jordanian businessman.
The perpetrators managed to steal valuable jewelry, including rare pieces of diamonds and gold, in addition to a cash amount estimated at two million Jordanian dinars (approximately 2.8 million US dollars), in an operation that shocked both economic and public circles.
According to security sources, the company's main safe at its headquarters in downtown Amman was breached using advanced techniques that indicate meticulous planning and professional execution. Security agencies began their investigations immediately upon receiving the report, with specialized teams from the public security seen collecting evidence from the crime scene.
The Jordanian authorities have not yet disclosed the identity of the perpetrators or their motives, but informed sources indicated that the operation may have targeted specific pieces of jewelry of exceptional value.
Amman is considered a regional hub for luxury jewelry trade, hosting numerous companies and stores specializing in diamonds and gold. However, major theft incidents are relatively rare in the country due to the security stability.
In 2019, Jordan recorded a jewelry theft worth 1.5 million dinars from a store in the seventh circle area, which was later resolved with the arrest of an organized gang.
This incident comes amid economic challenges facing Jordan, including rising living costs and unemployment, which may contribute to an increase in financial crimes. Reports indicate that the targeted company belongs to a well-known businessman in the investment and jewelry sectors, with speculation about a potential connection to a major trading group, but no official confirmation from the company has been issued yet.
