أتاحت شركة ميتا أخيراً، ميزة الرسائل المباشرة (DMs) داخل منصة ثردز Threads، وفقاً لما أعلنه الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة ميتا مارك زوكربيرج.
وتختبر «ميتا» الصندوق المخصص للرسائل في «ثردز» في البداية في ثلاث دول، وهي: هونغ كونغ والأرجنتين وتايلند، على أن تُوسّع الميزة إلى دول أخرى قريباً، بحسب ما أكّدته الشركة.
وكانت «ثردز» قد وفّرت سابقاً إمكانات محدودة للمراسلة عبر إمكانية مشاركة المنشورات من خلال الرسائل الخاصة في «إنستغرام»، وهي طريقة وصفت بأنها غير مريحة، إذ كانت تتطلب التنقل بين التطبيقات.
وسببت هذه الآلية بعض اللبس للمستخدمين، خصوصاً عندما تُرسل منشورات «ثردز» لأشخاص لا يملكون حساباً في المنصة، مما يمنعهم من عرض المحتوى بنحو صحيح.
وعلى الرغم من المطالب المتكررة، أبدى مسؤولو «ميتا»، وفي مقدمتهم رئيس «إنستغرام» آدم موسيري، تحفظهم تجاه فكرة بناء نظام مراسلة مستقل للتطبيق، مؤكدين في وقت سابق أنهم يفضّلون جعل التواصل عبر صندوق «إنستغرام» ذاته.
ومع التغييرات الجديدة، أكدت «ميتا» أن نظام المراسلة الجديد في «ثردز» يدعم حالياً المحادثات الثنائية فقط (1:1)، دون دعم للمجموعات أو المزايا الواسعة كالتي توفرها منصتا «إنستغرام» و«ماسنجر».
Meta has finally introduced the direct messaging (DMs) feature within the Threads platform, as announced by Meta's CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
Meta is initially testing the dedicated messaging box in Threads in three countries: Hong Kong, Argentina, and Thailand, with plans to expand the feature to other countries soon, according to the company.
Previously, Threads offered limited messaging capabilities through the ability to share posts via direct messages on Instagram, a method described as inconvenient since it required switching between apps.
This mechanism caused some confusion for users, especially when Threads posts were sent to people who did not have an account on the platform, preventing them from viewing the content properly.
Despite repeated demands, Meta officials, led by Instagram head Adam Mosseri, expressed reservations about the idea of building a standalone messaging system for the app, previously stating that they preferred to facilitate communication through the Instagram inbox itself.
With the new changes, Meta confirmed that the new messaging system in Threads currently supports only one-on-one (1:1) conversations, without support for groups or the extensive features offered by Instagram and Messenger platforms.
