ألقت الشرطة المصرية القبض على صاحب مطعم شهير بمدينة ملوي جنوب محافظة المنيا، جنوب القاهرة، بعد تلقي عدة بلاغات تفيد بإصابة العشرات من الزبائن بحالات تسمم غذائي، بعد تناولهم وجبات غذائية داخل المطعم، خلال إجازة عيد الأضحى، في حادثة أثارت الذعر بين سكان مدينة ملوي.
وتلقت الأجهزة الأمنية بمحافظة المنيا، بلاغات وشكاوى مواطنين أكدوا تعرضهم لأعراض تسمم حادة، شملت القيء والإسهال وآلام البطن، عقب تناول وجبات من المطعم المذكور، وتمكنت وحدة مباحث قسم شرطة ملوي من القبض على المتهم، البالغ من العمر 30 عاماً.
وتم نقل المصابين إلى مستشفى ملوي العام لتلقي العلاج، إذ أكدت التقارير الطبية الأولية أن الحالات تعاني من تسمم غذائي ناتج عن تناول طعام ملوث.
وأصدرت النيابة العامة أمراً بحبس صاحب المطعم احتياطياً لمدة 4 أيام على ذمة التحقيقات، بتهمة الإضرار بالصحة العامة، فيما تتواصل الجهود للوقوف على ملابسات الحادثة وتحديد ما إذا كانت هناك مخالفات صحية أو إهمال في إجراءات السلامة الغذائية بالمطعم.
وكانت مستشفيات ملوي التخصصي، وفقاً لمواقع محلية، قد استقبلت خلال الأيام الماضية أكثر من 40 حالة تعاني من أعراض تسمم مثل القيء والإسهال والمغص الشديد، إذ تلقى المصابون الإسعافات اللازمة وغادر بعضهم المستشفى بعد تحسن حالتهم، بينما لا تزال حالات أخرى تحت الملاحظة الطبية.
وعلى الفور، بدأت الجهات المختصة التحقيقات، وتم تحرير محاضر رسمية من قِبل المتضررين ضد المطعم، كما نفذت لجنة من الوحدة المحلية بالتعاون مع مديريتي الصحة والتموين قرار إغلاق مؤقت للمطعم لحين صدور نتائج الفحوصات المخبرية بوزارة الصحة لتحديد أسباب التسمم بدقة.
The Egyptian police arrested the owner of a famous restaurant in the city of Malawy, south of Minya Governorate, south of Cairo, after receiving several reports indicating that dozens of customers suffered from food poisoning after consuming meals inside the restaurant during the Eid al-Adha holiday, in an incident that caused panic among the residents of Malawy.
The security agencies in Minya Governorate received reports and complaints from citizens who confirmed experiencing severe poisoning symptoms, including vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain, after consuming meals from the mentioned restaurant. The Malawy police investigation unit managed to arrest the suspect, who is 30 years old.
The injured were transferred to Malawy General Hospital for treatment, where initial medical reports confirmed that the cases were suffering from food poisoning due to consuming contaminated food.
The Public Prosecution issued an order to detain the restaurant owner for 4 days pending investigations on charges of endangering public health, while efforts continue to determine the circumstances of the incident and whether there were any health violations or negligence in food safety procedures at the restaurant.
According to local sources, Malawy Specialized Hospitals received more than 40 cases in recent days suffering from poisoning symptoms such as vomiting, diarrhea, and severe cramps. The injured received necessary first aid, and some left the hospital after their condition improved, while others remain under medical observation.
Immediately, the relevant authorities began investigations, and official reports were filed by the affected individuals against the restaurant. A committee from the local unit, in cooperation with the health and supply directorates, implemented a temporary closure decision for the restaurant until the results of the laboratory tests from the Ministry of Health are issued to accurately determine the causes of the poisoning.
