لليوم الثاني على التوالي، ضرب زلزال جديد فجر (الثلاثاء)، محافظات القاهرة الكبرى، واستمر لعدة ثوانٍ.
وقال المعهد القومي للبحوث الفلكية والجيوفيزيقية، إنه رصد حدوث زلزال بجنوب الحدود التركية، يبعد عن العريش 500 كيلومتر وعن مطروح 600 كيلومتر.
وأوضح المعهد أن الزلزال مركزه بعيد عن السواحل المصرية بمسافة تبعد عن مدينة مطروح ما لا يقل عن 600 كيلومتر، مشيراً إلى أن مركز الزلزال الحالي هي دولة تركيا الواقعة في منطقة نشطة زلزالياً.
وعلّق عميد معهد البحوث الفلكية الدكتور طه رابح، على مخاوف دخول مصر حزام الزلازل، قائلاً إن مصر تقع خارج المناطق الزلزالية الشديدة، مثل اليابان والمحيط الهادئ، مشيراً إلى أن ما تشهده البلاد من زلازل ضعيفة أو متوسطة هو أمر لا يدعو إلى القلق.
For the second consecutive day, a new earthquake struck the Greater Cairo governorates early on Tuesday, lasting for several seconds.
The National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research reported that an earthquake was detected south of the Turkish border, 500 kilometers away from Al-Arish and 600 kilometers from Matrouh.
The institute clarified that the earthquake's epicenter is far from the Egyptian coasts, at least 600 kilometers away from the city of Matrouh, noting that the current epicenter of the earthquake is in Turkey, which is located in a seismically active region.
Dr. Taha Rabih, the dean of the Institute of Astronomical Research, commented on concerns about Egypt entering a seismic belt, stating that Egypt is located outside of high seismic zones, such as Japan and the Pacific Ocean, and emphasized that the weak or moderate earthquakes the country is experiencing are not a cause for concern.
