ضرب زلزال بلغت قوته (6.2) درجة على مقياس ريختر، صباح اليوم، جزر دوديكانيسا اليونانية الواقعة جنوب شرق البلاد، بالقرب من الحدود مع تركيا، بحسب ما أفاد به المركز الأوروبي المتوسطي لرصد الزلازل.
وأوضح المركز أن الزلزال وقع على عمق (68) كيلومتراً تحت سطح الأرض، دون ورود تقارير فورية عن وقوع أضرار أو إصابات.
وتقع جزر دوديكانيسا في منطقة نشطة زلزالياً نتيجة التقاء الصفائح التكتونية الأوروبية والآسيوية.
A magnitude (6.2) earthquake struck the Greek Dodecanese Islands this morning, located in the southeast of the country, near the border with Turkey, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre.
The centre indicated that the earthquake occurred at a depth of (68) kilometers beneath the Earth's surface, with no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
The Dodecanese Islands are situated in a seismically active area due to the convergence of the European and Asian tectonic plates.
