«كورال بلوم» فكرة من وحي طبيعة المملكة الخلابة أطلقها ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان في 2021، تتجسد اليوم واقعاً مبهراً مع افتتاح جزيرة «شورى»، إذ أعلنت شركة «البحر الأحمر الدولية» افتتاح أول المنتجعات والمعالم السياحية في جزيرة «شورى» التي ستبدأ باستقبال ضيوفها خلال الأسابيع القادمة. ويُعد هذا الإنجاز خطوة محورية في مسيرة الشركة للإسهام في تحقيق مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030، وتنويع الاقتصاد الوطني، مع ترسيخ مكانة السعودية على خريطة السياحة المتجددة عالمياً.
وقالت «البحر الأحمر الدولية» عبر منصة «X»: «في لحظة تاريخية يملأها الفخر، نعلن افتتاح جزيرة شورى، القلب النابض لوجهة البحر الأحمر وأكبر جزرها».
وكشفت «البحر الأحمر الدولية» أن الجزيرة تضم 11 منتجعاً عالمياً، وملعب غولف مميزاً بـ18 حفرة، إلى جانب مرافق رياضية وتجارية وترفيهية متكاملة.
القلب النابض لوجهة «البحر الأحمر»
وتتخذ جزيرة «شورى»، التي صممتها شركة الهندسة المعمارية العالمية «فوستر وشركاه» وفق مفهوم «كورال بلوم»، شكلها الطبيعي الشبيه بالدولفين، لتكون القلب النابض لوجهة «البحر الأحمر»، واستُلهم تصميمها وهندستها المعمارية من الشعب المرجانية المحيطة بها. وصُممت المنتجعات لتندمج بسلاسة مع البيئة الطبيعية للجزيرة، إذ استُخدمت في بنائها مواد خفيفة الوزن ذات كتلة حرارية منخفضة، مع مراعاة دقيقة لتقليل الأثر البيئي وتعزيز كفاءة الطاقة. وكباقي وجهة «البحر الأحمر»، تعمل جزيرة «شورى» بالكامل بالطاقة المتجددة.
المرحلة الأولى
وستشهد المرحلة الأولى افتتاح ثلاث من أبرز العلامات الفندقية الرائدة عالمياً.
ولي العهد يطلق الرؤية التصميمية «كورال بلوم»
وكان ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان قد أطلق في فبراير 2021 الرؤية التصميمية «كورال بلوم» للجزيرة الرئيسية بمشروع البحر الأحمر.

The Red Sea International Company stated via the “X” platform: “In a historic moment filled with pride, we announce the opening of Shura Island, the beating heart of the Red Sea destination and its largest island.”
The Red Sea International Company revealed that the island includes 11 world-class resorts, a distinguished 18-hole golf course, in addition to integrated sports, commercial, and entertainment facilities.
The Beating Heart of the “Red Sea” Destination
Shura Island, designed by the global architectural firm Foster and Partners in accordance with the “Coral Bloom” concept, takes on a natural dolphin-like shape, making it the beating heart of the “Red Sea” destination. Its design and architecture were inspired by the surrounding coral reefs. The resorts were designed to seamlessly blend with the island’s natural environment, using lightweight materials with low thermal mass in their construction, with careful consideration to minimize environmental impact and enhance energy efficiency. Like the rest of the “Red Sea” destination, Shura Island operates entirely on renewable energy.

The first phase will witness the opening of three of the most prominent globally leading hotel brands.
The Crown Prince Launches the “Coral Bloom” Design Vision
