انضمّت المملكة ممثلة في الهيئة السعودية للبيانات والذكاء الاصطناعي (سدايا) إلى الشبكة العالمية رفيعة المستوى للهيئات الإشرافية على الذكاء الاصطناعي (GNAIS) التابعة لمنظمة الأمم المتحدة للتربية والعلم والثقافة (اليونسكو) في باريس، في خطوة دولية نوعيّة تعزّز مكانة المملكة في مجال الذكاء الاصطناعي، وتبرز دورها العالمي في صياغة السياسات والأطر المتعلقة في هذا المجال.
ويمنح هذا الانضمام المملكة فرصة لتعزيز قدراتها الوطنية في مجالات الإشراف على الذكاء الاصطناعي، والاستفادة من الخبرات العالمية في تطوير أطر وسياسات هذا المجال من خلال نقل المعرفة وتبادل أفضل الممارسات والتجارب الدولية مع نخبة من المتخصصين في هذا المجال، إضافة إلى توسيع نطاق الشراكات مع المنظمات والهيئات الإشرافية حول العالم، بما ينسجم مع مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030، ويكرّس دورها بشكل فعّال في المحافل الدولية.
وتهدف الشبكة إلى ترسيخ التعاون بين الهيئات الإشرافية حول العالم، وتوفير منصة لتبادل الخبرات والمعارف، وبناء القدرات في مجالات أخلاقيات الذكاء الاصطناعي والإشراف عليه، فضلا عن تطوير أدوات ومعايير موحدة تعزز من كفاءة وفاعلية الإشراف على تطبيقات الذكاء الاصطناعي عبر مختلف القطاعات، كما تُتيح للأعضاء الوصول إلى موارد تدريبية متخصصة، ومستودع شامل لدراسات الحالة وأفضل الممارسات العالمية، بما يُسهم في تعزيز قدرات الدول الأعضاء على مواجهة التحولات التقنية المتسارعة.
وفي السياق ذاته شاركت المملكة ممثلة في «سدايا»، في الاجتماع الأول للشبكة العالمية رفيعة المستوى للهيئات الإشرافية على الذكاء الاصطناعي (GNAIS)، الذي عُقد أمس (الإثنين) في مقر منظمة اليونسكو بالعاصمة الفرنسية باريس، بحضور ممثلين من الدول الأعضاء وجهات دولية معنية بتطوير أطر الإشراف على تقنيات الذكاء الاصطناعي، بالتنسيق مع اللجنة الوطنية السعودية للتربية والثقافة والعلوم.
وناقش الاجتماع العديد من الموضوعات من أبرزها مراجعة الشروط المرجعية للشبكة، وتحديثات العضوية والموارد المتاحة، إضافة إلى مناقشة خطط العمل المقترحة، وطرح مقترح من هيئة البنية التحتية الرقمية الهولندية بشأن هيكلة المجموعات الفرعية، إلى جانب استعراض المواد التدريبية الخاصة بالشبكة وتبادل الخبرات حول آليات بناء القدرات في هذا المجال.
ويعكس انضمام المملكة إلى الشبكة العالمية للهيئات الإشرافية على الذكاء الاصطناعي دورها الفاعل والمؤثر الذي تضطلع به في صياغة مستقبل التقنية عالميا، والمكانة التي بلغتها في مجال البيانات والذكاء الاصطناعي، في ظل ما تشهده من مشاريع ومبادرات رائدة أسهمت في جعلها نموذجا يحتذى به في الاستخدام الآمن والمسؤول للتقنيات الناشئة.
The Kingdom, represented by the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), has joined the Global High-Level Network of Supervisory Bodies on Artificial Intelligence (GNAIS) under the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Paris, in a significant international step that enhances the Kingdom's position in the field of artificial intelligence and highlights its global role in shaping policies and frameworks related to this field.
This membership provides the Kingdom with an opportunity to strengthen its national capabilities in the areas of artificial intelligence supervision, benefiting from global expertise in developing frameworks and policies in this field through knowledge transfer and the exchange of best practices and international experiences with a select group of specialists in this area. Additionally, it expands the scope of partnerships with organizations and supervisory bodies around the world, aligning with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and effectively consolidating its role in international forums.
The network aims to establish cooperation among supervisory bodies worldwide, providing a platform for the exchange of experiences and knowledge, building capacities in the fields of artificial intelligence ethics and supervision, as well as developing standardized tools and criteria that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of supervision over artificial intelligence applications across various sectors. It also allows members access to specialized training resources and a comprehensive repository of case studies and global best practices, contributing to strengthening the capabilities of member states to face rapid technological transformations.
In this context, the Kingdom, represented by SDAIA, participated in the first meeting of the Global High-Level Network of Supervisory Bodies on Artificial Intelligence (GNAIS), which was held yesterday (Monday) at the UNESCO headquarters in the French capital, Paris, with the presence of representatives from member states and international entities concerned with developing frameworks for supervising artificial intelligence technologies, in coordination with the Saudi National Commission for Education, Culture and Science.
The meeting discussed several topics, including reviewing the terms of reference for the network, updates on membership and available resources, in addition to discussing proposed action plans, and presenting a proposal from the Dutch Digital Infrastructure Authority regarding the structuring of sub-groups, along with reviewing the training materials specific to the network and exchanging experiences on capacity-building mechanisms in this field.
The Kingdom's accession to the global network of supervisory bodies on artificial intelligence reflects its active and influential role in shaping the future of technology globally and the status it has achieved in the field of data and artificial intelligence, amid pioneering projects and initiatives that have contributed to making it a model for the safe and responsible use of emerging technologies.
