وبحسب المعلومات المتداولة، ستتخلى آبل عن خاصية Face ID لصالح عودة Touch ID عبر مستشعر بصمة مدمج، ما يسمح بتقليل سماكة الجهاز وجعله أكثر أناقة وانسيابية. كما سيحمل الهاتف أربع كاميرات بدقة تصل إلى 48 ميغابكسل، اثنتان في الخلف واثنتان موزعتان على الشاشة الداخلية والخارجية. ويأتي التصميم أقرب إلى «الكتاب» على غرار سلسلة Galaxy Z Fold من سامسونغ، لكنه سيعتمد تقنية in-cell touch screen التي تمنح شاشة مرنة شبه خالية من علامات الطي. وتشير التسريبات إلى أن الهاتف سيُطرح بلونين فقط: الأبيض والأسود، مع اعتماد eSIM حصريًا دون منفذ للشريحة التقليدية. ومن المتوقع أن تكشف آبل رسميًا عن «iPhone Fold» في سبتمبر 2026، ضمن خطتها لإطلاق ثلاث سنوات متتالية من الابتكارات الكبرى، تبدأ بـ iPhone Air في 2025، وصولًا إلى iPhone 20 في 2027 بمناسبة مرور 20 عامًا على إطلاق أول آيفون.

According to renowned analyst Mark Gurman at Bloomberg, the new device will come with radical design changes that make it different from any previous iPhone model.
According to circulating information, Apple will abandon the Face ID feature in favor of the return of Touch ID via an integrated fingerprint sensor, allowing for a reduction in the device's thickness and making it more elegant and streamlined. The phone will also feature four cameras with a resolution of up to 48 megapixels, two on the back and two distributed on the inner and outer screens. The design is closer to a "book," similar to Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold series, but it will utilize in-cell touch screen technology that gives the flexible screen a nearly crease-free appearance. Leaks indicate that the phone will be available in only two colors: white and black, with eSIM exclusively adopted without a slot for the traditional SIM card. Apple is expected to officially unveil the "iPhone Fold" in September 2026, as part of its plan to launch three consecutive years of major innovations, starting with the iPhone Air in 2025, leading up to the iPhone 20 in 2027 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the launch of the first iPhone.
