كشف تقرير لموقع «تيك سبوت» أن قراصنة الإنترنت طوروا طريقة جديدة لنشر البرمجيات الخبيثة عبر الصور، مستغلين صيغة «SVG» التي يمكنها احتواء أكواد برمجية قادرة على اختراق الأجهزة. وتستغل هذه الآلية قدرة الصور على فتح صفحات إنترنت خفية، مثل صفحة «بروسيس مونيتور»، التي تقوم بدورها بتحميل ملفات ضارة إضافية إلى جهاز الضحية.
وبحسب شركة «مالوير بايتس» المتخصصة في الأمن السيبراني، يتضمن الملف الخبيث أكوادًا تستغل حساب فيسبوك الخاص بالمستخدم لتسجيل الإعجاب في منشورات تروج لهذه الصور الضارة، مما يزيد من انتشارها عبر خوارزميات المنصة. غالبًا ما تستدرج هذه المنشورات الضحايا عبر محتوى إباحي وروابط لمواقع خارجية تحمل البرمجيات الخبيثة.
وحذرت الشركة من الضغط على روابط أو تحميل ملفات من مواقع مجهولة، مشددة على أهمية تجنب التفاعل مع المنشورات المشبوهة على فيسبوك، حفاظًا على أمن الأجهزة والبيانات.
A report from the site "Tech Spot" revealed that hackers have developed a new method for spreading malware through images, exploiting the "SVG" format, which can contain code capable of compromising devices. This mechanism takes advantage of images' ability to open hidden web pages, such as the "Process Monitor" page, which in turn downloads additional malicious files to the victim's device.
According to the cybersecurity company "Malwarebytes," the malicious file contains code that exploits the user's Facebook account to like posts promoting these harmful images, thereby increasing their spread through the platform's algorithms. These posts often lure victims with pornographic content and links to external sites that host the malware.
The company warned against clicking on links or downloading files from unknown sites, emphasizing the importance of avoiding interaction with suspicious posts on Facebook to protect device and data security.
