أكد مدرب المنتخب الإسباني لويس دي لا فوينتي أن مواجهة المنتخب السعودي تتطلب من لاعبيه تقديم أداء أكثر دقة وفاعلية، مشيراً إلى أن التعامل مع الفرق التي تعتمد على التنظيم الدفاعي يحتاج إلى حلول هجومية متنوعة وسرعة أكبر في تداول الكرة.
وقال دي لا فوينتي خلال المؤتمر الصحفي الذي يسبق المباراة: «نحترم جميع المنافسين، وكل منتخب يستخدم أسلحته بالطريقة التي يراها مناسبة. ما يجب علينا فعله هو أن نكون أكثر دقة في استغلال الفرص خلال المباريات، خصوصاً أمام المنتخبات التي تعتمد على التكتل الدفاعي».
وأوضح أن المنتخب الإسباني افتقد بعض التفاصيل الفنية في المباراة الماضية، مضيفاً: «لم نكن في أفضل حالاتنا من ناحية سرعة نقل الكرة وكسب المواجهات الفردية في الثلث الهجومي، لكننا في المقابل لم نعانِ دفاعياً بفضل العمل الكبير الذي قدمه اللاعبون».
وشدد المدرب الإسباني على أهمية استعادة الإيقاع الهجومي المعتاد لمنتخبه، قائلاً: «نحتاج إلى سرعة أكبر في تدوير الكرة والتحرك المستمر لخلق المساحات واستغلالها بالشكل الأمثل».
وعن إمكانية مشاركة النجم لامين يامال أساسياً أمام السعودية، أوضح دي لا فوينتي أن القرار سيُحسم قبل المباراة وفقاً لما يخدم مصلحة المنتخب الإسباني، مؤكداً أن وجود اللاعب ضمن القائمة يمثل إضافة مهمة للفريق.

وأضاف: «صحيح أننا مطالبون بتحقيق الفوز، لكن لا توجد أي حالة استعجال أو ضغط داخل المنتخب. لدينا مجموعة من اللاعبين يتمتعون بشخصية تنافسية قوية للغاية، ويعرفون جيداً كيفية التعامل مع مثل هذه المواقف».
وأشار مدرب إسبانيا إلى أن الانتقادات قد تتحول أحياناً إلى دافع إضافي للاعبين، موضحاً أن عناصر المنتخب الإسباني متحفزون لإظهار ردة فعل قوية في المباراة القادمة.
