تتجه الأنظار إلى المواجهة المرتقبة يوم غد الإثنين بين المنتخب السعودي بقيادة المدرب هيرفي رينارد والمنتخب الأردني بقيادة المدرب جمال السلامي، في نصف نهائي كأس العرب 2025.
تعيد هذه المواجهة إلى الأذهان آخر لقاء جمع المدربين وجهاً لوجه، والذي كان في سياق ودي «تدريبي» عام 2017 في مدينة مراكش المغربية. حينها، كان رينارد يقود المنتخب المغربي الأول في بداية مشروع بناء الفريق، بينما كان السلامي يقود المنتخب المغربي المحلي الذي كان يضم أسماء قوية جداً.
وأسفر اللقاء التدريبي آنذاك عن تفوق فريق جمال السلامي بنتيجة (3-1)، في نتيجة مثيرة تعكس القوة الكبيرة التي كان يتمتع بها المنتخب المحلي تحت قيادته.
