The Al-Hilal team jumped to second place after their strong victory over their host, Al-Ettifaq, with a score of 5 goals to none in the match held at the Ego Stadium of Al-Ettifaq as part of the fifth round of the Roshan Saudi Pro League. The five goals for Al-Hilal were scored by: Marcos Leonardo (two goals at 23, 55), Darwin Nunez (two goals at 39, 74), and Ruben Neves from a penalty kick (48).
The match witnessed a strong start from Al-Hilal, with the first real threat coming from a powerful shot by player Nasser Al-Dosari, but the Al-Ettifaq crossbar stood firm against his shot. From a run by right-back Hamad Al-Yami, he managed to deliver a cross to his teammate Leonardo, who controlled the ball and shot it low into the net for Al-Hilal's first goal (23). Al-Hilal continued to apply pressure, especially from Savic, who intercepted the ball from Midran and passed it to his teammate Malcolm, who in turn played a low cross to the unmarked Darwin Nunez, who did not hesitate to slot it into the net for Al-Hilal's second goal (39).
In the second half, Ruben Neves doubled the score after Nunez delivered a cross that hit the hand of defender Jack Hendry, and the referee did not hesitate to award a penalty kick, which Neves successfully converted for Al-Hilal's third goal (48). From a set piece executed by Neves, Nunez headed it to his teammate Leonardo, who headed it into the net for his second personal goal and Al-Hilal's fourth (55). Al-Hilal concluded the goal fest after a brilliant effort from Savic, who delivered a high cross that Nunez headed into the net for his second personal goal and Al-Hilal's fifth (74), ending the match with Al-Hilal winning 5 goals to none.
With this result, Al-Hilal achieves their third victory and jumps to second place with 11 points, thus confirming their readiness to face the classic match against their host, Al-Ittihad, while Al-Ettifaq suffered their second loss, remaining at 7 points in tenth place.
