فاز نيوكاسل يونايتد الإنجليزي على مضيّفه سانت جيلواز البلجيكي بأربعة أهداف دون مقابل، في المباراة التي جمعت بينهما اليوم على ملعب «لوتو بارك» في منافسات الجولة الثانية من دوري أبطال أوروبا لكرة القدم.
تقدّم نيوكاسل بهدف مهاجمه الألماني نيك فولتيماده بعد مرور (17) دقيقة، وأضاف أنتوني جوردون الهدف الثاني في الدقيقة (43) من ركلة جزاء.
وفي الدقيقة (64) أضاف جوردون الهدف الثاني له والثالث للفريق من ركلة جزاء أخرى، واختتم هارفي بارنز الرباعية بهدف في الدقيقة (80).
وبهذا الفوز حقق الفريق الإنجليزي أول ثلاث نقاط في مشواره بمرحلة الدوري بعد خسارته في الجولة الأولى أمام برشلونة الإسباني، بينما تجمد رصيد الفريق البلجيكي دون نقاط.
