International arbitration consultant for "Okaz," Egyptian Tarek Sami, commented on the controversial situation that occurred in the match between Al-Tai and Al-Urooba in the "Yellow" League, which involved goalkeeper Rafea Al-Ruwaili handling the ball outside the penalty area, for which he received a yellow card from the referee. This incident sparked widespread reactions from Al-Tai supporters, who demanded that the goalkeeper be given a double penalty, including a red card and ejection from the match.

Tarek Sami stated in a special interview with "Okaz": If the goalkeeper did not commit a foul by handling the ball outside the penalty area, then the defender of Al-Urooba is closer to the ball than the forward of Al-Tai, and thus the forward will not be able to reach it. In this case, there is no clear opportunity to score a goal, and the correct decision is for the referee to only issue a yellow card to the goalkeeper and award a direct free kick to Al-Tai.

It is worth mentioning that the match between Al-Tai and Al-Urooba in the second round of the Saudi First Division "Yellow" League for the 2025-2026 season ended with Al-Urooba winning two goals to one against Al-Tai. The two goals for Al-Urooba were scored by Dawrin Gonzalez and Simon Nwankwo in the 5th and 44th minutes, while Mohammed Al-Sa'iri scored the only goal for Al-Tai in the 55th minute.
