تلقى رئيس الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم ياسر المسحل، خطاب تهنئة من رئيس الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم الشيخ سلمان بن إبراهيم آل خليفة، بمناسبة إتمام مشروع توثيق تاريخ كرة القدم السعودية، الذي وثق 123 عاماً من مسيرة اللعبة منذ عام 1902 وحتى 2025.
وأشاد رئيس الاتحاد الآسيوي بالمشروع والمنهجية المتبعة فيه، مؤكّداً أنه يمثل خطوة تتجاوز مجرد حفظ التاريخ الكروي لتكون رافداً يلهم مسيرة المستقبل، مشدداً على تقدير الاتحاد الآسيوي لرؤية الاتحاد السعودي والتزامه في تنفيذه، كما اعتبر هذه المبادرة إنجازاً نوعياً يعكس مكانة المملكة المتنامية، ويجعلها نموذجاً رائداً في حفظ الإرث الكروي، ومعياراً تستلهم منه الاتحادات القارية الأخرى.
من جانبه عبّر رئيس مجلس إدارة الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم ياسر المسحل، عن تقديره لتهنئة رئيس الاتحاد الآسيوي مؤكداً أن المشروع جاء ثمرة تعاون وثيق مع الأندية وخبراء محليين ودوليين، لافتاً إلى أن حفظ التاريخ الكروي الوطني يمثّل جزءاً أساسياً من إستراتيجية الاتحاد لتعزيز مكانة الكرة السعودية قارياً ودولياً.

The President of the Saudi Football Federation, Yasser Al-Mashal, received a congratulatory letter from the President of the Asian Football Confederation, Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, on the occasion of the completion of the project to document the history of Saudi football, which has recorded 123 years of the game's journey from 1902 to 2025.
The President of the Asian Football Confederation praised the project and the methodology used in it, affirming that it represents a step that goes beyond merely preserving football history to becoming a source of inspiration for the future journey. He emphasized the Asian Federation's appreciation for the Saudi Federation's vision and its commitment to implementing it, considering this initiative a qualitative achievement that reflects the Kingdom's growing status and makes it a pioneering model in preserving football heritage, serving as a benchmark for other continental federations to draw inspiration from.
