عاد الفريق السعودي للتجديف من بطولة آسيا للتجديف الساحلي (الشاطئي السريع) 2025 بإنجاز تاريخي، بعد أن حصد 4 ميداليات متنوعة في منافسات قوية أقيمت على شاطئ جومتين بمدينة باتايا التايلندية خلال الفترة من 6 إلى 10 أغسطس 2025.
وشارك في البطولة 13 دولة آسيوية، من بينها الصين، واليابان، وكوريا، والإمارات، والكويت، لكن الفريق السعودي أثبت جدارته ونافس بقوة أمام نخبة من أبطال القارة. وقد ضم وفد المنتخب مجموعة من اللاعبين المميزين، هم: عبدالله الحيى، وتركي العارف، وهيا المامي، ومؤيد الرشيدي، وردعان الدوسري، ومفلح الخالدي، وعبدالله المامي، والجازي الإبراهيم. أشرف على تدريبهم وإدارتهم الجهاز الفني والإداري بقيادة ماثيو تارانت، وفيرناندو فيريز، وحمود الشمري.
حصاد الميداليات
• فضية: تألق اللاعب مفلح الخالدي في منافسات فردي الناشئين تحت 19 سنة (CJM1x)، وحقق الميدالية الفضية عن جدارة.
• برونزية: تمكّن اللاعب مؤيد الرشيدي من الحصول على الميدالية البرونزية في سباق فردي الرجال (CM1x).
• برونزية: أظهر ثنائي الناشئين مفلح الخالدي وعبدالله المامي أداءً قويّاً ليحرزا الميدالية البرونزية في سباق زوجي الناشئين تحت 19 سنة (CJM2x).
• برونزية: لم تكن الإنجازات حكراً على الرجال، فقد حقق الثنائي المختلط هيا المامي وتركي العارف الميدالية البرونزية في سباق زوجي المختلط (CMix2x).
دعم إداري وتطلعات مستقبلية
حظيت مشاركة الفريق بدعم ومتابعة مستمرة من نائب رئيس الاتحاد السعودي للتجديف شيرين أبوالحسن والمدير التنفيذي يوسف جليدان، مما كان له أثر إيجابي في رفع معنويات اللاعبين.
وفي ختام البطولة، أكد الاتحاد السعودي للتجديف أن هذا الإنجاز يعكس التطور الملحوظ في رياضة التجديف بالمملكة، ويعتبر خطوة مهمة نحو تحقيق مراكز متقدمة في البطولات القارية والعالمية، مشدداً على مواصلة العمل لإعداد جيل جديد من الأبطال القادرين على تمثيل المملكة في جميع المحافل الدولية.
The Saudi rowing team returned from the 2025 Asian Coastal Rowing Championship with a historic achievement, having won 4 diverse medals in strong competitions held on Jomtien Beach in Pattaya, Thailand, from August 6 to 10, 2025.
Thirteen Asian countries participated in the championship, including China, Japan, Korea, the UAE, and Kuwait, but the Saudi team proved its worth and competed strongly against a selection of the continent's champions. The delegation included a group of distinguished athletes: Abdullah Al-Hai, Turki Al-Aref, Haya Al-Mami, Muayid Al-Rashidi, Radhaan Al-Dosari, Muflih Al-Khalidi, Abdullah Al-Mami, and Al-Jazi Al-Ibrahim. They were trained and managed by the technical and administrative staff led by Matthew Tarrant, Fernando Ferez, and Hamoud Al-Shammari.
Medal Harvest
• Silver: Athlete Muflih Al-Khalidi excelled in the Under-19 Men's Singles (CJM1x) competition, winning the silver medal deservedly.
• Bronze: Athlete Muayid Al-Rashidi managed to secure the bronze medal in the Men's Singles (CM1x) race.
• Bronze: The junior duo of Muflih Al-Khalidi and Abdullah Al-Mami showcased strong performance to win the bronze medal in the Under-19 Men's Doubles (CJM2x) race.
• Bronze: Achievements were not limited to the men, as the mixed duo of Haya Al-Mami and Turki Al-Aref won the bronze medal in the Mixed Doubles (CMix2x) race.
Administrative Support and Future Aspirations
The team's participation received continuous support and follow-up from the Vice President of the Saudi Rowing Federation, Sherin Abulhasan, and Executive Director Yusuf Jlaydan, which had a positive impact on boosting the players' morale.
At the conclusion of the championship, the Saudi Rowing Federation confirmed that this achievement reflects the remarkable development in rowing sports in the Kingdom and is considered an important step towards achieving advanced positions in continental and global championships, emphasizing the continuation of efforts to prepare a new generation of champions capable of representing the Kingdom in all international forums.
