حسمت لجنة الانضباط والأخلاق بالاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم، الجدل الدائر في الوسط الرياضي حول العقوبات المتوقعة على نادي الهلال بعد قرار اعتذاره رسمياً عن المشاركة في بطولة كأس السوبر السعودي المقررة إقامتها في هونغ كونغ من الفترة 19-23 أغسطس الجاري، وفقاً لما ورد من لجنة المسابقات بالاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم، وبعد ثبوت مخالفة للمادة (3-59) من لائحة الانضباط والأخلاق، أصدرت اللجنة 3 عقوبات، هي: إلزام النادي بدفع غرامة مالية قدرها
500 ألف لحساب اتحاد القدم، ومنعه من المشاركة في كأس السوبر السعودي للموسم القادم 2027-2026م، وحرمانه من أي مبالغ مالية مخصصة لمسابقة كأس السوبر السعودي للموسم الرياضي 2026-2025م.
وكان الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم، باشر اتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة وفقاً للأنظمة واللوائح ذات الصلة، من خلال اللجان المختصة؛ وأكد وفق البيان الذي نشره وجاء فيه: «سيتم العمل بموجب اللائحة التنظيمية لمسابقة كأس السوبر السعودي، بعد استكمال الإجراءات النظامية من قبل لجنة المسابقات في الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم»، وأكد اتحاد اللعبة حرصه على احترام الأنظمة واللوائح المعتمدة، وحرصه على حماية مصالح جميع الأطراف ذات العلاقة، استناداً إلى نظامه الأساسي المعتمد من الجمعية العمومية».

The Disciplinary and Ethics Committee of the Saudi Football Federation has resolved the ongoing debate in the sports community regarding the expected penalties for Al-Hilal Club following its official withdrawal from participating in the Saudi Super Cup scheduled to take place in Hong Kong from August 19-23, according to what was reported by the Competitions Committee of the Saudi Football Federation. After confirming a violation of Article (3-59) of the Disciplinary and Ethics Regulations, the committee issued three penalties: requiring the club to pay a financial fine of
500,000 to the Football Federation, banning it from participating in the Saudi Super Cup for the upcoming 2027-2026 season, and depriving it of any financial amounts allocated for the Saudi Super Cup for the 2026-2025 sports season.
The Saudi Football Federation has begun taking the necessary actions in accordance with the relevant regulations and rules through the competent committees; and it confirmed in the statement it published that stated: "The regulatory framework for the Saudi Super Cup will be implemented after the completion of the legal procedures by the Competitions Committee of the Saudi Football Federation." The federation emphasized its commitment to respecting the approved regulations and rules, and its dedication to protecting the interests of all parties involved, based on its constitution approved by the General Assembly.
