دعت الأمانة العامة للاتحاد العربي لكرة القدم، أعضاء الجمعية العمومية للاتحاد، لاجتماع الجمعية الثامن والعشرين في الـ 14 من سبتمبر القادم، وفتح باب الترشح لرئاسة وعضوية مجلس الاتحاد العربي للدورة 2025 - 2029.
وأبلغت الأمانة العامة للاتحاد العربي لكرة القدم الاتحادات العربية الأعضاء بمواعيد وآلية الترشح لمجلس الاتحاد، بالإضافة إلى الترشح للهيئات القضائية ولجان الاتحاد المعاونة والتي ستتاح حتى الـ 31 من أغسطس الحالي، ويحظى الاتحاد العربي بدعم ورعاية الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء، حيث دعم الاتحاد وبرامجه بمبلغ خمسة ملايين ريال سنوياً.
وكانت الجمعية العمومية للاتحاد العربي لكرة القدم، نصبت الأمير عبد العزيز بن تركي الفيصل رئيساً لمجلس الاتحاد لدورة المنتهية، في اجتماعها الـ 26 الذي عقد في يونيو 2021 بمدينة جدة، وتم انتخاب كل من سعود المهندي، و هاشم حيدر، و عبدالله الجنيبي، والدكتور حميد الشيباني، أعضاءً في مجلس الاتحاد العربي من قارة آسيا، وانتخاب المهندس هاني أبو ريدة، والدكتور وديع الجرئ، و أحمد ولد يحيى، و فوزي لقجع، أعضاءً في مجلس الاتحاد من قارة أفريقيا، واحتفظت سمر نصار، بالعضوية النسائية في المجلس، و جبريل الرجوب، بالعضوية الدائمة لدولة فلسطين، فيما وافقت الجمعية العمومية في جلستها الأولى على قرار الأمير عبدالعزيز بن تركي الفيصل بتعيين محمد روراوة نائباً شرفياً للرئيس، في حين، اعتمد مجلس الاتحاد الجديد في اجتماعه الـ 74 الذي عقد بعد ختام أعمال الجمعية العمومية، تعيين المهندس هاني أبو ريدة نائباً أول للرئيس والأستاذ سعود المهندي نائباً ثانياً للرئيس، وإعادة تسمية الدكتور رجاء الله السلمي أميناً عاماً للاتحاد.

The General Secretariat of the Arab Football Federation has invited the members of the General Assembly of the federation to the 28th General Assembly meeting on September 14th, and has opened the door for nominations for the presidency and membership of the Arab Federation Council for the 2025 - 2029 term.
The General Secretariat of the Arab Football Federation has informed the member Arab federations of the dates and mechanisms for nominations to the Federation Council, in addition to nominations for the judicial bodies and auxiliary committees of the federation, which will be available until August 31st of this year. The Arab Federation enjoys the support and sponsorship of Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, who has supported the federation and its programs with an amount of five million riyals annually.
During its 26th meeting held in June 2021 in Jeddah, the General Assembly of the Arab Football Federation appointed Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal as President of the Federation Council for the outgoing term. Members elected to the Arab Federation Council from Asia included Saud Al-Muhandi, Hashim Haidar, Abdullah Al-Junaibi, and Dr. Hamid Al-Shaibani. From Africa, members elected included Engineer Hani Abu Rida, Dr. Wadi Al-Jarrah, Ahmed Walid Yahya, and Fawzi Lekjaa. Samar Nassar retained the women's membership in the council, while Jibril Rajoub held the permanent membership for the State of Palestine. In its first session, the General Assembly approved Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal's decision to appoint Mohamed Rourawa as Honorary Vice President. Meanwhile, the new Federation Council, in its 74th meeting held after the conclusion of the General Assembly's work, approved the appointment of Engineer Hani Abu Rida as First Vice President and Mr. Saud Al-Muhandi as Second Vice President, and reappointed Dr. Raji Allah Al-Sulami as Secretary General of the federation.
