اختتم المنتخب السعودي للتايكوندو مشاركته في بطولة آسيا للتايكوندو، التي استضافتها مدينة كوتشنغ الماليزية، بتحقيق أكبر منجز قاري في تاريخه، بحصده 7 ميداليات برونزية في مختلف الفئات.
وجاءت أحدث الميداليات عبر اللاعب إياد آل تريك في فئة البارا كيروقي، تحت إشراف المدرب جيري، فيما شهدت منافسات البارا بومسي تألق اللاعبين إبراهيم الحجيلان وحسين الحجيلان بإشراف المدرب هاني آل تريك.
وفي فئة القتال (كيروقي)، ضمن بطولتي آسيا السادسة للناشئين والثالثة عشرة للشباب، أحرز أربعة من لاعبي المنتخب ميداليات برونزية، وهم: علي البوحمود، أميرة البشر، ليان كعبي، وخالد الشهراني، وسط مشاركة أكثر من (650) لاعبا ولاعبة من مختلف الدول الآسيوية.
وأكد رئيس الاتحاد السعودي للتايكوندو أحمد الصبان أن الإنجاز يُعد ثمرة جهد جماعي وتكامل مؤسسي، بدعم القيادة الرياضية، مشيرا إلى أن تنوع الميداليات بين الفئات يؤكد تطور اللعبة على المستويين الفني والإداري.

The Saudi Taekwondo team concluded its participation in the Asian Taekwondo Championship, hosted by the city of Kuching, Malaysia, by achieving the greatest continental achievement in its history, winning 7 bronze medals in various categories.
The latest medals were won by player Iyad Al-Turki in the para-kyorugi category, under the supervision of coach Jerry, while the para-poomsae competitions saw the outstanding performance of players Ibrahim Al-Hujailan and Hussein Al-Hujailan under the guidance of coach Hani Al-Turki.
In the kyorugi fighting category, during the 6th Asian Championship for juniors and the 13th for youth, four players from the team won bronze medals: Ali Al-Buhamood, Amira Al-Bashar, Layan Kaabi, and Khalid Al-Shahrani, amidst the participation of more than 650 male and female athletes from various Asian countries.
Saudi Taekwondo Federation President Ahmed Al-Sabban confirmed that this achievement is the result of collective effort and institutional integration, supported by sports leadership, noting that the diversity of medals across categories reflects the development of the sport on both technical and administrative levels.
