اختتم المنتخب السعودي الأول للسيدات مشاركته الأولى في التصفيات المؤهلة إلى كأس آسيا 2026، التي أُقيمت في العاصمة الكمبودية بنوم بنه، ضمن المجموعة التي ضمت منتخبات الفلبين، وهونغ كونغ، وكمبوديا.
وخاض أخضر السيدات خلال منافسات التصفيات التي استمرت من 29 يونيو إلى 5 يوليو (3) مباريات، إذ واجه في الأولى منتخب الفلبين وانتهت المباراة بنتيجة 3 - 0 لصالح الفلبين، ثم لعب أمام منتخب هونغ كونغ في المباراة الثانية وانتهت المباراة بنتيجة (1 - 0) لصالح منتخب هونغ كونغ، واختتم مشواره بمواجهة منتخب كمبوديا التي شهدت تنافساً قوياً وانتهت بنتيجة (2 - 1) لصالح كمبوديا، مع تسجيل المنتخب هدفه الأول في هذه التصفيات خلال هذه المباراة.
وتُعد هذه المشاركة الأولى من نوعها للمنتخب الوطني للسيدات الذي تأسس عام 2019، ويضم في صفوفه لاعبات واعدات بمتوسط عُمر 23 عاماً، ما يعكس اعتماد الاتحاد على جيل شاب يُشكل قاعدة متينة لبناء مستقبل الكرة النسائية في المملكة.

The Green Ladies played (3) matches during the qualifiers, which lasted from June 29 to July 5. In the first match, they faced the Philippines, and the game ended with a score of 3 - 0 in favor of the Philippines. They then played against Hong Kong in the second match, which ended with a score of (1 - 0) in favor of Hong Kong. They wrapped up their journey by facing Cambodia, which saw strong competition and ended with a score of (2 - 1) in favor of Cambodia, with the team scoring its first goal in these qualifiers during this match.
This is the first participation of its kind for the national women's team, which was established in 2019 and includes promising players with an average age of 23, reflecting the federation's reliance on a young generation that forms a solid foundation for building the future of women's football in the Kingdom.
