علمت مصادر «عكاظ» أن مركز التحكيم الرياضي رفض رسمياً تداخل الأخدود في قضية احتجاج الوحدة ضد النصر بشأن تأخر بداية المباراة التي جمعتهما على استاد مدينة الملك عبدالعزيز الرياضية بالشرائع بتاريخ 25 فبراير 2025، بعد أن قبله شكلاً ورفضه موضوعاً، رغم استيفاء الأخدود كل المسوغات والشروط، لأنه في حال صدور قرار لصالح نادي الوحدة سيصبح رصيده النقطي 36 نقطة وسيتقدم إلى المركز الـ14، وسيهبط الأخدود لدوري الدرجة الأولي بدلاً منه، ويتقدم القادسية للمركز الثالث بدلاً من النصر الذي سيُجرد من المشاركة في بطولة «نخبة آسيا 2».
يذكر أن الوحدة اتجه إلى مركز التحكيم الرياضي، بعد رفض احتجاجه لدى لجنة الانضباط والأخلاق في الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم، وأوضحت اللجنة في بيانها أنها قبلت احتجاج الوحدة من الناحية الشكلية، لكنها رفضته موضوعياً، بعد مراجعة تفاصيل القضية وما ورد في قرار لجنة الاستئناف، مؤكدة أن الاحتجاج لا يغير من نتيجة المباراة، كما تقرر مصادرة رسم الاحتجاج لصالح الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم، مع التأكيد على أن القرار قابل للاستئناف وفقاً للمادة 144 من لائحة الانضباط.

Sources informed "Okaz" that the Sports Arbitration Center officially rejected Al-Akhid's involvement in the case of Al-Wehda's protest against Al-Nassr regarding the delayed start of the match held at King Abdulaziz Sports City Stadium in Al-Sharae on February 25, 2025. They accepted it formally but rejected it substantively, despite Al-Akhid meeting all the requirements and conditions. If a decision were to be issued in favor of Al-Wehda, their points total would rise to 36 points, moving them up to 14th place, while Al-Akhid would be relegated to the first division instead. Al-Qadisiyah would advance to third place instead of Al-Nassr, which would be stripped of participation in the "Asia Elite 2" tournament.
It is noteworthy that Al-Wehda turned to the Sports Arbitration Center after their protest was rejected by the Disciplinary and Ethics Committee of the Saudi Football Federation. The committee stated in its announcement that it accepted Al-Wehda's protest from a formal perspective but rejected it substantively after reviewing the details of the case and what was included in the Appeals Committee's decision, confirming that the protest does not change the outcome of the match. It was also decided to confiscate the protest fee in favor of the Saudi Football Federation, while emphasizing that the decision is subject to appeal in accordance with Article 144 of the Disciplinary Regulations.
