حقق إنتر ميلان الإيطالي فوزًا ثمينًا (2 - 0) على ريفر بليت الأرجنتيني في الجولة الثالثة من المجموعة السادسة ليلحق بركب المتأهلين لدور الـ16 في بطولة كأس العالم للأندية لكرة القدم المقامة حاليًا في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، ويضرب موعداً مع فريق فلومينينسي البرازيلي الإثنين القادم في دور الـ16 من المسابقة.
وأحرز فرانشيسكو بيو إسبوزيتو الهدف الأول للفريق الإيطالي في الدقيقة (72)، وأضاف أليساندرو باستوني الهدف الثاني في الدقيقة الثالثة من الوقت المحتسب بدلًا من الضائع.
وبهذه النتيجة ارتفع رصيد إنتر إلى (7) نقاط في صدارة الترتيب، بفارق نقطتين أمام أقرب ملاحقيه مونتيري المكسيكي، الذي تأهل برفقته لدور الـ16 عن تلك المجموعة.
في المقابل توقف رصيد ريفر بليت عند (4) نقاط في المركز الثالث، ليودع المسابقة، بجانب أوراوا ريد دياموندز الياباني، الذي جاء في مؤخرة الترتيب بلا نقاط.

Inter Milan achieved a valuable victory (2 - 0) over Argentina's River Plate in the third round of Group 6, securing their place in the Round of 16 of the FIFA Club World Cup currently taking place in the United States. They will face Brazilian team Fluminense next Monday in the Round of 16 of the competition.
Francesco Pio Esposito scored the first goal for the Italian team in the (72) minute, and Alessandro Bastoni added the second goal in the third minute of stoppage time.
With this result, Inter's points total rose to (7) at the top of the standings, two points ahead of their closest rivals, Mexico's Monterrey, who also qualified for the Round of 16 from that group.
On the other hand, River Plate's points total stopped at (4) in third place, leading to their exit from the competition, alongside Japan's Urawa Red Diamonds, who finished at the bottom of the standings with no points.
