أوضح مدير نادي إي سي ميلان الجديد إيجلي تاري أن النجم الكرواتي لوكا مودريتش أصبح هدفه في فترة الانتقالات الصيفية، وأنه قريب جداً من الدفاع عن ألوان ناديه أكثر من أي وقت مضى، حيث تلقى مودريتش عروضا عديدة من مختلف أندية العالم منذ إعلان رحيله عن ريال مدريد، لكنه يحسم مصيره عقب مشاركته في بطولة كأس العالم للأندية، التي تم تمديد عقده من أجلها لشهر إضافي.
من جانبه كشف خبير الانتقالات العالمية جيانلوكا دي مارزيو أن نادي إي سي ميلان حصل على موافقة مبدئية من «مودريتش» للانضمام إلى صفوفه، موضحاً أن اللاعب أعطى الضوء الأخضر لميلان، بعد مفاوضات مكثفة، متجاهلا عدة عروض مغرية من أندية سعودية وأمريكية، مفضلا البقاء في أوروبا ومواصلة التحدي في أحد أبرز أنديتها.
يذكر أن «لوكا مودريتش» انتقل إلى ريال مدريد الإسباني صيف 2012 قادماً من فريق توتنهام الإنجليزي،
وحقق خلال مسيرته مع «الريال» 28 لقبا أبرزها 6 ألقاب بدوري أبطال أوروبا في الأعوام (2014 و2016 و2017 و2018 و2022 و2024)، ويعتبر اللاعب الأكثر تتويجا بالألقاب في تاريخ النادي، وهو آخر لاعب بين نجوم الفريق الحاليين تحقيقا للكرة الذهبية وذلك في عام 2018.
