أصدرت محكمة في مدريد أحكاماً بالسجن مع وقف التنفيذ على أربعة أشخاص أدينوا بجريمة كراهية، بعد تورطهم في تعليق لافتة على جسر كُتب عليها «مدريد تكره ريال مدريد» برفقة دمية سوداء قابلة للنفخ ترتدي قميصاً يحمل رقم 20 يتطابق مع ما يرتديه اللاعب البرازيلي، قبل مباراة كأس ملك إسبانيا أمام أتليتيكو مدريد في مطلع 2023.
تلقّى أحدهم حكماً بالسجن 15 شهراً بتهمة الكراهية وسبعة أشهر إضافية للتهديدات، إضافة إلى منعه من العمل مع الأطفال والشباب لأكثر من أربع سنوات، فيما حُكم على الثلاثة الآخرين بالسجن سبعة أشهر لكل تهمة.
ووقّع المدانون رسالة اعتذار إلى فينيسيوس وريال مدريد ورابطة الدوري الإسباني، كما فُرضت عليهم غرامات مالية بلغت 1084 يورو للمتهم الأول، و720 يورو لكل من الثلاثة الآخرين، إضافة إلى منع الاقتراب من فينيسيوس جونيور أو أي من أماكن وجوده (منزله، مقر التدريب، أو الملاعب خلال المباريات) لمسافة لا تقل عن 1000 متر لمدة 4 سنوات، إضافة إلى الحظر من التواصل معه بأي شكل، وكذلك الحرمان من العمل في المجالات التعليمية والرياضية والترفيهية لمدة 4 سنوات و3 أشهر للمتهم الأول، و3 سنوات و7 أشهر للمتهمين الآخرين.

A court in Madrid issued suspended prison sentences for four individuals convicted of a hate crime after they were involved in hanging a banner on a bridge that read "Madrid hates Real Madrid" alongside an inflatable black doll wearing a shirt with the number 20, matching that of Brazilian player Vinícius Júnior, before the Copa del Rey match against Atlético Madrid in early 2023.
One of them received a 15-month prison sentence for hate crimes and an additional seven months for threats, along with a ban on working with children and youth for more than four years, while the other three were sentenced to seven months each for their charges.
The convicted individuals signed an apology letter to Vinícius, Real Madrid, and the Spanish Football League, and were also fined 1,084 euros for the first defendant, and 720 euros each for the other three, in addition to being prohibited from approaching Vinícius Júnior or any of his locations (his home, training ground, or stadiums during matches) within a distance of no less than 1,000 meters for four years, as well as being banned from communicating with him in any form, and being deprived of working in educational, sports, and entertainment fields for four years and three months for the first defendant, and three years and seven months for the other defendants.
